Look at the video carefully, after be stomps it the cord is not connected anymore, there's nothing there. I guess if that's hard to break, just shows how much energy he put into acting out the song! 😊 I was at the next live and he used the mic for the whole song as intended. Incredible with the mic, epic when he overcame breaking it.

Goddamn Kyo has stepped up the performance art aspect of his concerts. He's next level right now (again).

He channels out this darkness inside of him, and just puts it all right there for you to see. Of all the songs I wanted to see live, THIS was the one. That electronic like doom metal, that turns into this choral display of brutal metal, with Kyo showing the emotion he feels in this song. True artistry. One of the best vocalists in the world, and it's sad no one in the metal world acknowledges his abilities.

The way Kyo pulls the microphone cord away from his abdomen visually brings to mind the image of pulling out organs, intestines. In the other videos from this night he gathers the cord up before tossing it down in a bundle and that recalls to mind birth. Both fit in the world of Dir en grey. Also in the lyrics there's this, it all ties in. "The •hand• entangled in compassion I break free and stomp on it as I taint •Holding hands• to bring the world together Let’s rot in the unforeseen future Being •born• in freedom Being enslaved in freedom In this world" Yup, I'm essentially fangirling here.
