Check your understanding: . . . . 1: H applies on the right state |ψm>, and return Em|ψm>. Em is just and number and get outside of the braket. So Hnm = Em 2: Hnm is a diagonal matrix with values E1,E2...En on its diagonal line. 3: a+|ψm> and returns 1*|ψm+1>. a+nm = . 4: a+nm is a off-diagonal matrix with values 1,1,1,1,1.... on the line just below the diagonal line.

Thank you very much. I could not belive myself that I can finish all of your clips in this channel successfully. My knowledge about Quantum mechanics and High level of mathematics have rapidly evolve. (So, I have many states of energy🤣) And from now on, I decided to learn master and doctoral degree in the near future.

Hey buddy, your channel is very good, very helpful for getting all this concepts altogether, some of us really need it. U beat Susskind's course in clarity and content by far.

At 13:30, a_n are complex numbers, not vectors; and Q_mn are matrix elements

what is the difference between eigenstate and eigenfunction? it is used interchangeably in the Griffith's book
@abhibanerjee44577 жыл бұрын
both are same
@bazarovism7 жыл бұрын
wajiha zia same. Eigenvector is also same
@general_paul2 ай бұрын
Both are same. Functions describe individual states, so even if someone says eigenstates, it is correct in QM sense, mathematically it MIGHT be incorrect to say, but we aren't mathematicians

Susskind's is not very organized as Brant is...Also, he lacks patient

+Maria Jongewaard De Boer agreed. Don't deny susskind is brilliant but i find his lectures to be hard to follow and really get into.. Brant is the best.
