Personally, the saddest deaths from the show for me were the deaths of Caitlin Todd, Emily Fornell, Jenny Shepherd, Mike Franks, Eli David, Jackie Vance, Ned Dorneget, Clayton Reeves, Dr Mallard, Diane Sterling, Jackson Gibbs, and John McGee.

Didn't Vance think of how to tell his wife's brother, who got sent to prison almost a year earlier, that Jackie got killed in cold blood by a guy who was out to get Ziva's father and that Jackie got in the way and the assassin didn't care one bit?

I have no idea. He probably didn’t even think to tell his wife’s brother about what happened. I’ll bet Vance’s main concern was taking down the son of a bitch who murdered his wife and Ziva’s father.
