If you reverse the melody within the piano roll with the flip tool then render you can then just reverse the audio without the need to chop it and rearrange to fit the chords.

Eq out low end in melody to make room for 808/kick, eq out high end on melody to make room for hi hats etc, put a soft clipper only on master. Turn drums volume up / turn drums velocity up. Have a high quality drum kit. Use your ears

my brother uses the same software you use for making beats, I tried messing around on it and didn't understand how to use it properly. I have never made beats before but I kinda feel like making em, I don't really know if I would ever wanna sell em if I got good though, don't wanna put someone else on my beats ya know, not unless it was real good money. I have good Ideas for beats, like I hear myself making my own beats in my head all the time, I just never got into learning how to do it. if you want to have a dark beat with emotion, use low pitched violins, when I mean low bitched I mean you want the sound strong but the whatcha ma call its low, the chords or the notes, the notes probably. I have some sick violin music ideas, love intros with violins, but not like right in the beginning, like when they creep up outta nowhere.
