I think his method is for time saving. He builds the counter melodies along with the primary melody. This is a smart time saver and later you can break out the parts or layer with other sounds. He has been using the piano roll for a long time and has learned to make efficient melody decisions as he is creating.

You what I mean, "Juice would've killed this, Who else can hear Juice on This Beat? Whoever is watching this in 20 years, this man was a legend. And every other generic Juice WRLD comment" Tbh, I'm kinda tired of seeing comment sections of his music/anything related to him that say the same thing. First of all, just because a vid has something to do with Juice, doesn't mean the full focus of the viewer should be the fact that he's gone. (If that makes sense) and second, I'm ALL FOR paying respects to the man. He's my biggest inspiration, favorite artists, and much more. But if ur going to pay respects to someone, its only right to make something up thats original, or comes from thuh heart, you know? Ok in class gtg bye

use the distance between major 7 and the root often or the major 3rd and perfect 4th to make dark sounding melody's and avoid some intervals that make it sound to happy
@khaaan_prod341
@khaaan_prod341 3 жыл бұрын
Yep, the major third defines the 'happy' nature of the chord. So if you avoid that and use more 'impartial / neutral' notes like the fifth then you're going to get darker melodies. For example, in C major. - Avoid the E *unless you pair it with a chord it sounds dark on, like E minor or A minor - Avoid the F *When I make my melodies I notice I never use F - this is because it's the 4th and gives a distinct happy feel too. - Use the B *this it the 7th, and is only one note beneath C. This will create a lot of tension and hence a darker chord - Use / avoid the G *impartial, who gives a shit really.
