I’m so glad I found your video! I was just about to throw away my Dirt Devil EasyLite Cyclonic vacuum due to a badly frayed power cord. Thanks to your super helpful video my Dirt Devil works like new!!

Good video! I remember when I took this exact machine from my neighbor back in 2018 and I don’t know that it had a cut cord. It was a decent machine that I wanted to fix, but my parents forced me to throw it out. 😭

Well done. You made it look so easy. My wife was complaining that it wasn't working. I pulled the bottom plate, cleaned everything up, removed TONS of hair and things around the roller but did not clean the end caps and mine does not spin at all like that. So I put it together and it still started smelling smoke. So perhaps this is part of the issue. Besides that, any other advice on servicing it? Great video! Thank you!

For cord replacement, it probably doesn't matter who the manufacturer of the cord is, right? And, for a low-end cleaner like this one, the amount of juice running through the cord should be fine in any case (as long as the replacement is for a similar or better machine)? Thanks so much for posting.

Manufacture doesn’t really matter. Just have to make sure it’s a vacuum cord. I have a box full of scavenged vacuum cords from broken vacuums I pull cords from. But if you put in vacuum cleaner cord on Amazon you’ll find the right ones.

The 90’s American-made dirt devils and even the mid-2000’s Chinese-made with Ametek motors were much better made than the new ones. Production moved to China in the middle of 2003. The early and mid- 90’s models had GS Electric motors. The late 90’s models had mostly Ametek motors.

That's a easy lite, not a power Express but there the same thing. these things are really not worth fixing but I'm just surprised that you still fix em

They’re worth it due to the ad revenue from KZbin in people wanting to find out how they can fix their machines. I donate them locally after I’m done with the videos.
