Sell the Suburu while it has some value. Run the truck till it's a pile of rust and broken parts ready for the scrap yard. It's way more useful on a homestead than the Suburu will ever be. Especially come winter. A friend of mine had over 500 hundred thousand miles on his Ford truck before he finally sold it off for parts. He rebuilt the engine and tranny twice. The rear end 3 times. A few other repairs to the frame but he darn sure got his money's worth out of it. Almost cried when he finally gave in and bought a new truck. He finally went diesel on that one.

I have a 99 gmc short bed, extended cab, 4x4 painted the same color as yours... I ordered it to match my fathers 1967 peterbilt...It was black and gold. I thought the gold may be a little much, so I got the pewter. I have only seen 2 painted the same colors. I still have it, and it has 130k miles. It also has the charcoal leather... Enjoy your videos

Mike, I'm now going to have to wait for Dirt Perfect to post his video in a few months so that we can see how he can pin the blame on TMBTS and you for the Lowboy Trailer! 🤣🤣🤣. Of course, you have the video this time! Excellent run and amazing challenge to get both items on that small trailer.
@hollandduck793 жыл бұрын
Hello Captain. there is a simple fix for the neck brace from the trailer . just place an air valve in the brake air line on the goose neck between the truck and the trailer . if the neck brace is not or not fully raised, no air will come through from the truck to release the brakes, so you can not leave. as soon as the neck brace is all the way up in the right position, the air flows to the trailer and you can drive off normally. Captain Kleeman proef 😂😂 thanks for the video Captain Kleeman👍

I did this one time with my lowboy. Tore the fender off my drive tires but didn't tear up the support rod thankfully. After you do this once you learn that the first thing you do when you start pulling levers is to raise the support arm first because if you don't there is a good chance you will forget to raise it after you get the trailer raised up. Have a good Thanksgiving

Mistakes happen, this would be a perfect time to make a check list on painters tape on the side of the trailer right by the hydraulic control levers until everyone gets accustomed to the new operation of this lowboy. I was in a rush on a job and forgot to unhook the air lines / electrical from the neck to the deck and ripped the plug right off. Check list by the levers would've saved me the work. I still recommend having a sacrificial piece of wood(old deck board works great) to put on the frame of the truck for the neck support bar to push up against. So if this ever happens in the future the board will fall off and you hopefully wont catch the frame.
