@random callsign Really like those settings. Quick question though. What's your force set to in the TM control panel? 100% or default 75%? I figure that would make a big difference for dirt's SAT setting. Cheers

Hey man, nice vid. Glad you were able to re-upload this and I'm glad the wheel friction advice was helpful. I will say again though that SAT and centering force shouldn't be confused, it could just as easily be pulling away from center if the car is sliding, it's a result of the caster effect from the front wheels. The actual "steering center force" setting just centers the wheel at the start and after you reset the car, doesn't do anything while driving. Thanks for the video though, I feel like this game doesn't get enough credit and codemasters definitely don't do themselves any favours setting the wheel friction to 100 default.

These settings feel so nice that even crashing feels good... Truely a fine setup.. thank you. For anyone who reads this further; just recently ( 15.07.2020 ) bougth a T300RS GT + pro pedals + th8a shifter (now set up as an analog hanbrake since i am getting convinced to the paddles 😅 ) I am having a blast after switching to the option given in the video... been running some minor tweaks after having bought the setup...and it did not feel quite right... so If you’ve driven a car in a more competitive way than just commuting, you will get what i mean after using the tips given here.. @@FrankkQs No problems whatsoever. What I however did, I turned on the forced fan modę according to the following description. I also did some DIY airflow chanelling but it might been an overkill for these settings; • The selected mode is automatically saved to the racing wheel's internal memory (i.e. you do not need to repeat this process after restarting the wheel). • You can switch from one mode to another at any given time (even during a game). - Simultaneously press the “ST*” and “MODE” buttons = The “Forced” mode becomes active (the LED flashes twice). - Simultaneously press the “ST*” and “MODE” buttons = The “Automatic” mode becomes active (the LED flashes once). * On PC, the “ST” button matches the wheel's “8” button. * On PS3TM, the “ST” button matches the wheel's “START” button. * On PS4TM, the “ST” button matches the wheel's “OPTION” button. * Button mapping information (according to the racing wheel model) is available here: ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=3&fid=15&pid=375&cid=9

For the life of me I can't understand WHY the game producers cant get better settings out of the box or at least a set of preset settings that have been optimized by people like yourself (serious players) or actual drivers, who can get the game set up nicely from launch. Come on - that's not hard is it - and the BIG difference that would make cannot be understated. I am thoroughly fed up with the many many hours wasted totally with these racing/rally games trying (often in vain) to get the experience to feel right - or playable.

Hello, my t300 rs in the settings options my accelerator, brake and clutch are inverted like yours but I can't leave the place. How do you make it work correctly?

Press mode+L3+R3 buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds, the light next to the "mode" button should blink once. That inverts the throttle and clutch.

Man I just tried dirt rally vr for the first time and it was like there was no ffb. Iv got maybe 6hrs playing time with my t300 so very little experience with how it should feel but after playing around on gt sport I was impressed with how strong the ffb was. That was with no adjustment just out of the box. I just got done trying dirt rally and it was so weird. Figured out how to program my shifter and everything but even playing with settings the ffb is like 2/10ths the strength it is on gt sport. Should also add. I can't for the life of me get my ps4 to reconnect to my wifi and I wonder if there some updates I'm not getting. Our wifi works perfect on every other device and was working on the ps4 and now nothing. Same thing when we first bought our ps4, we had it 2 weeks b4 I got to connect and idk what I did lol. Idk why the ps4 is SOOO damn temperamental about wifi. I want to hook it up with ethernet cable just going to take probably 50ft of cable to get from our router to the ps4.

What I find hard to understand is this title has been out for a fare while now and still the FFB is not sorted. No tire slip still ! Codemasters seem to put all there efforts into DLC before making the changes needed to keep us playing. I don’t feel FFB is a matter of personal opinion. It’s either right or it’s not. This rally sim has so much potential but at the moment it’s just taking up hard drive space.

I dunno people complain about ffb in dirt 2.0, while my worst gripe about it is tracks. Except maybe Poland they all are so generic and boring. Its like they were crafted with track generator or smthg...
