33:29 In NJ you can get a special trailer plate and permanently have the abilty to go up to10ft wide as long as the load doesn't exceed the physical dimensions of the trailer. It costs $200 something to register and the MVC want an accord insurance certificate on file. It is a code 23 special trailer. All the stipulations of an oversize load still count, you just have a permanent permit with a one time fee.

That was interesting, from the auction I was bidding in yesterday, some of the "junk" there in Louisville would have brought about double the price, from people who aren't sure what they're bidding on. (Jeepers, some people go crazy at auctions, and pay MORE for worn-out stuff than they could go across the road and buy brand new!) Thanks for mentioning the airplane going over, I thought the machine's hydraulic pump was about to seize up!

Definitely see a slow turn around here in economy but that always happens this time of year so hopefully it bounces back. One could also argue the used equipment came back because people finally obtained their new equipment after 2-3 years due to the supply chain issues so a lot can finally sell their older stuff.

I guess that it depends on one's perspective. Last year, there may not have been equipment for sale because no one could get any new equipment, so they had to hold on to what they had. Now that people are able to secure new equipment, they are unloading the equipment that they were forced to hold on to. There is so much gloom and doom talked about in the media but I certainly don't see it from where I am standing. 🤷♂

Auctions are always interesting, you see some crazy stuff go for more than new. I know projects that involve Federal money have to be Tier 4 compliant and it can be down sizing or older contractors retiring. A tape measure always makes you a contractor until they are hit with the reality of insurance, then you see the equipment returned in a short time.....😁Attending an auction in the middle of snow storm doesn't work either, I won't do that again. And then you have other buyers like Clint who know the current market pretty well......

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Always interesting to tag along with you at an auction. Will be interesting to see if any of the equipment being forced into retirement in California makes its way east. Saw a recent video of guy looking at trucks in line at the scrap yard supposedly and remarking on all the new engine parts. Supposedly they are forcing any over the road trucks older than 2010 into retirement due to out of date emissions. Wishing you and your family the best.

The best way to bid at those auctions is to wait till it's just one person bidding then bid otherwise you fan the flames and the prices shoot up because others want to get in on the bidding.

Better no deal then a bad deal. How much percentage do you have to add (auction cost and tax)? Over here often 12 to 15% auction cost and 21% VAT tax. So you need to add 35% to the bid price. Companies can deduct the VAT but you got to pay it at retrieval.

That old Cat is an E series, right? I ran one years ago and even have some videos of it somewhere. I will have to dig them out one day. I was running the high-horse E one day and the owner had already left and I got done for the day and went to shut her down and “Chug...Chug...Chug...” was still barely running. Kept banging the Go lever down but it just wouldn’t die. This was before wireless phones so I was on my own. My truck was a good walk away so I started looking for tools (among the empty beer cans... the owner would drink one light beer for lunch. He wasn’t a drunk) and saw a little crowbar. Now this was the first time I had ever seen a crowbar on a dozer so I figured that was the key. Went down the track to the injector pump and sure enough, the linkage was worn enough that it would pop over center and lock up so the crowbar was to pry it back into place and once I did that I could go home. Turned out that this machine had been owned by a neighbor of mine from a quarter mile up the road. Small world indeed.
