When the V6 in my 2022 Gladiator is not even turning on the engine fan when idling in 40 degrees heat, while the people travelling with us in their 2L Wrangler had constantly its fan running... lo and behold it also led for the 2L going into limb mode after a full day of driving and had to wait a whole night to cool down... it doesn't seem to be a good engine... at least not for Australia

Had many jeeps over the years from J10 pickups to multiple wagoneers, and wranglers. My current 2018 JLUR is outstanding with the 3.6 auto. Jeep going back to its roots would be a great start. Focus on the off-road value with big power, low end torque and cool color options. Ford went that route with Bronco and sucked in many of the off road community away from the waining jeep market. I would really like Jeep to get back to building the iconic Jeep again.
I’m watching from Japan. Thank you for all the great videos! I’m really looking forward to hearing more about the Wrangler in the future. However, in Japan, Wranglers seem to be leaning towards the luxury side with leather seats and power seats. I am a Jeep guy long and proud. I’ve owned 6 different wranglers, a renegade, and with my wife two different grand Cherokee’s. In recent years I’ve been afraid that features I love would be removed. First and foremost I am a manual driver. I don’t want an automatic Jeep. I want the control of my vehicle. Also this nonsense where they only stocked 4xe’s had me terrified. I am so against the electric movement but if you have to have them leave it to Toyota. I love what you said about Jeep people running Jeep. It should be people passionate about what they make. People who are proud of what they make. I learned that from my dad. He worked fourth years for Dixie and would tell us about the quality of what they produced. I do think it’s time to focus on core models that people think of when they hear the Jeep name. First and foremost for me is wrangler. Let’s offer a v6 a v8 and for the folks that like the 4 cylinder turbos, those too. Also don’t let the manuals die. I’m not thrilled with the grand Cherokee but I know I’m the minority on that. A Cherokee like the square body’s would be great as well. I was blown away and at first ashamed to admit how much I loved my renegade when I had it but a smaller suv that’s capable to let people stick their toes in the water of off roading or over landing is essential. They’re the gateway vehicular to wranglers. I enjoy the gladiators from a distance and agree, why no v8 for them? My last request for the wrangler is do one of two things. 1 make three versions a 2 door a 4 door and a stretched 2 door or 2 make three versions and it be a 2 door a 4 door and make the overlook that we saw as a concept be the third. I’d personally jump at a stretched 2 door or an overlook in a heartbeat.

I've owned two Jeeps and still own one of them. Since selling my wife's 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland diesel in 2019 (we were in the process of moving from Utah to the Island of Molokai), I've promised my wife "we'll buy you a Gladiator." Prices on the Gladiator went up as if there was no tomorrow. Several times I came close to buying that Gladiator, but we held off waiting for me to finish writing a book I've long been researching and writing. Both my wife and I still plan to purchase a new Gladiator. We positively will do so as long as we can get the Gladiator with the Pentistar engine and the eight-speed automatic. (I positively do not want an electric or a "hybrid" Jeep of any kind. Nor do I want a turbocharger.) Eventually we also plan to replace my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with a new, JL Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. We've lived on Molokai since March 2019. An electric vehicle would make more sense here on an island that's 38 miles long and only 10 miles wide. But, as stated above, I've no interest in an electric vehicle. Part of the push towards electric vehicles is, honestly speaking, political. I understand why you folks don't want to get into politics, but sooner or later sane people need to speak up or the Greta Thunberg's of our planet will dictate what all of us drive. I'll be seventy-seven in March. I don't know of any twenty-one year old whose an expert on anything let alone automobile power plants. My wife and I will probably purchase two Jeeps, her Gladiator, and a new Wrangler Rubicon for me, during the 2025 model year. Both will have the V-6 engine in them. Both will be eight-speed automatics. We will probably purchase our Jeeps on the Mainland and ship them to Oahu and then to Molokai. Jeep dealers in Hawaii use ADM or ADP on top of the MSRP. We're smarter than that! Andrew McKane IV, 19 December 2024, Maunaloa, Molokai, Hawaii.

The JL/JT manuals are awful compared to previous JK. The way Jeep programs the throttle body with rev hang for emissions is terrible. I’d own another manual if they could make it work like a manual…without the rev hang issues. Also the double overdrive is crazy. I’d rather have a 1:1 5th and a .82 6th. I had a 18 JLU with 3.45 gears and the manual on 33s and rarely ever could even use 6th. There’s some kinda torque management going on that if your around 2000 rpm and floor it in a higher gear the pcm pulls power and forces you to downshift when my old LJ didn’t gaf. It would just chug on with no nannies interfering
@alancadieux2984Күн бұрын
@stkiswr i agree, if you're cruising in 8th and find the slightest uphill grade, it's like straight to 6th. Having the rubicon 4 : 10 gears the fuel ⛽️ milage sucks. They say bigger tires this gets worse, I'm wondering 🤔 if: go from stock 285/70/17's to 285/75/17's might actually help since geared so low, bigger than that and yes it probably would get worse. But lastly, the automatic transmission seems reliable, if that silly clutch fails out in the trails remote 🏕 camping, I don't really want.

On a trip to St. George island from middle Georgia I hit 23 mpg hand calculated and dash. It was a lot of 55-65 speeds. I live about 5 miles from my job so my daily is roughly 15-16 mpg. I was holding 8th a lot due to the elevation and flat roads down. I see 8th but yeah it dumps at any incline. So far I’m fine with this simple setup. I kinda like the tall skinny tires but I bought mine so cheap I couldn’t complain. If I did it again I’d move up to a skinnyish 35 and keep the factory rims. I like the look. Also I went from 255/70r18 to my current size with like 200 miles on the odometer. I have been looking at the 305/70r18 wrangler mt since they are a cheapish tire and ride pretty good. I just hit 8000 miles and my current ones look new. I hit one wild trail called river rock in miledgeville a it was wild for what I wanted to do but the tires didn’t let me down and I didn’t beat up my truck. It gave me faith in what can be accomplished with good tire placement and weaving a dang truck through a wild place lol.

Tbh im not a jeep or american car buyer, but yah nobody was listening or wanting it. Would love an xr rubicon JT, diesel comeback. Diesel just on the rubicon. a 5.7 all aluminum v8 that runs regular with factory 35s and 4.88 would return semi decent fuel economy. A 2 door gladiator rubicon with a 6.5 bed would also be awesome! Factory rear seat delete option on a JL 2door.

I'm buying a jeep springish 2025.. a stripped-down rubicon would be awesome. For me it's been a matter of cost. I don't want gadgets or add on's just the rear and front locker and sway bar disconnect, doesn't even need a fancy infotainment center. Idk how many base models they make of each but those are extremely hard to find and 2 doors are also getting harder to find unless it's got a ton of add ons and markered up. 60 70 80k is way too much 50k is still on the high side make more 35k to 45k jeeps and those will sell

>2 doors are also getting harder to find That's because something like 85-90% of Wrangler sales are the Unlimited.

We own 3 jeeps 2 4xes and a gladiator. I’m getting rid of the gladiator. We absolutely love the 4xe and want a JT version badly. The 4xe torque is 💩ing on the v6. Starting now, every gladiator needs floating rear axle, built in trailer control, V6, 4xe, V8 and diesel options PERIOD!

My issues with Jeep mostly come from the significant delays in fixing a recall on my wife’s Cherokee. Additionally, she now has an intermittent issue that the recommended action is the replacement of the transfer case. Unfortunately the part was and probably still is on restricted back order. The cost plus labor questions the justification in doing it compared to the value of the vehicle. ✌🏼

I bought a Grand Cherokee 7 years ago and have loved it. Now I have really wanted to check out the Wrangler, but there is no option at any level to get a good stereo. My GC had an amazing stereo! I test drove the Rubicon X and even the 392, and the stereo is weak. Now I'm looking at an X5 - but if they came out with a good stereo in Wranglers before next Fall, I could still go back to my first choice.

Glad to hear this!! Tried to build a 25 jeep and it would not let me build a V6 Auto.

I’m more concerned about the manual transmission option when they go to the hurricane engine
@nigelsturge67072 күн бұрын
The Question is are we going to get the Hurricane v6? Or the same lack luster 285hp/ 260ft lbs.
@1voicenwilderness5 сағат бұрын
The AT & v6 is not available to entire lineup. Also one feature I do not see anymore that I like is the AWD system as an option.
What about colors? Are they going to bring back some of the colors they discontinued, like Sarge Green”?

nice to hear the changes, still waiting to see 2.0l in the 25 gladiator. I believe I want to get a Gladiator next. I love my 2 door JL but might be nice to go back to a truckish vehicle. Thanks for the updates

I understand the 394 is going away so it's a mute point but I wish someone could explain to me why if I order a grand Cherokee you could go from a 3.6 to a 5.7 for about 3k yet in a Wrangler it cost 30k to go to a V8. Why? The 5.7 wrangler for 3k would have been a game changer for jeep

I am still driving a 96 jeep cherokee country 4.0 inline 6 auto 4wd with NO motor repairs, NO transmission repairs, NO transfer or differential repairs, just regular maintenace upkeep stuff. 235,000 miles of hunting, fishing.

I think that one has a Toyota transmission and maybe transfer case and those 4.0 inline are boring and gutless but reliable .

Glad I ordered my MANUAL 2024 Gladiator Mojave in April . Its Perfect so far with zero issues . The one thing that's a miss is he Exhaust system. It should be a Performance Exhaust. A small V-8 or the Cummins R2.8 Diesel? Heaven!

They need to bring prices back down to get more people to buy them. I just test drove a AT4X canyon and I can tell you for 56k I would rather own that than any gladiator. Get any comparable option from jeep and you are spending 65k.
@frankrao2264Күн бұрын
We need to make a moderately/low priced "off-road" version that can be "moded" out since most of the off road community practicly rebuild their Wranglers/Gladiators anyway

Have you ever changed out the spark plugs on the 3.6? Grab a Snickers because omg

2dr & 4dr model with locked Dana U60's, manual disconnect swaybar (similar to the Evo disconnect), half doors included, manual power seats/windows, 3.6, auto & manual available. It would be FANTASTIC if they could rectify the freaking oil cooler issue in the 3.6 while they are at it........and an option for the Hurricane HO (Cat 3) just for grins. Hopefully that engine turns out to be all, or at least most, of what they promised.

They do need some good PR and some lower prices , they need to own it .a good add would be “Hey we lost our way but now we are coming back “ !!!

A 2.0 liter engine is too small for the vehicle weight. It has too many parts adding cost and complexity; while subtracting from reliability and longevity. Also needs premium gasoline... so you're not saving money on fuel.

And it's a JEEP price them correctly! As a JEEP owner of two of JK 16 and 18 would love to get a new one but the price difference between a used and a new is wrong!
