I'm glad you mentioned about the Polaris shifter. I don't doubt that its less accurate and mushy, but even bigger is that design is so outdated. I'm guessing that somebody at Polaris feels like that ugly twisted stick protruding out the side is a part of their brand recognition but it has to go. Thank goodness they didn't carry it over to the scrambler. I'm also not a fan of the big silver wheel hubs in the center of the wheel but maybe now I'm getting too picky.

I have owned 2 different Polaris quads, both with the 500 ho engine. When it comes to maintenance, they will nickel and dime you to death. Nothing major but you will be replacing brakes, bearings and bushings CONSTANTLY. There are also a lot of different electrical issues you may run into if you run your quad every weekend. That being said, though I no longer ride, if I needed to buy a quad again I would buy a Polaris in a heartbeat. The ride on these is absolutely amazing compared to any other brand. The AWD system is easy to use, just flip it into AWD on the go when you are nearing rough patches and don’t give it another thought. It will get through it, or crawl over it. If it can’t I doubt other quads will. Also, power is amazing compared to other similar sized engines, especially on the smaller displacement machines. My 500 sportsman was quicker and almost anything under 800cc except for the can ams. Sure I worked on it after every ride but oh well I enjoyed riding it more than any other brand I’ve ridden so I put up with it. Just wish I still had time to ride or I would still own my 13 sportsman 500

I have to argue, the right side is the right side for a brake. If you have ridden a motorcycle for any amount of time, or, ever.....you know that the brake is on the right. The clutch is on the left. I understand it's an ATV an it's automatic etc.......doesn't matter. Every dirt bike, motorcycle, and even 4-wheelers that are geared, and require the use of a clutch........the brake is on the right. It's always on the right. They all come with that zip tie when they are new. I was at the dealer and they all had it. I bought a 500cc CF and it had it too. I took it off and nothing popped out of place or anything. I assume it has something to do with the original packaging? I will say this, SO FAR it's been a great rig. I got a brand new (2017 model) 500cc 4x4 with dif lok, power steering, winch installed, aluminum mag rims for $4999. and when you ride it you don't feel like you are on a piece of shit. It rides pretty nice, looks great. I'm an old school Honda guy and I like this rig. A lot of bang for $5000. My only beef is it doesn't turn very sharp. But I can live with the occasional 2 point turns..

Hmmmmmmm To bad you only picked two. The Polaris for long term durability in my neck of the woods{ From friends and personal experience} in N.E. breaks down alot. Whereas I went with the Arctic Cat Altera 450. In my experience and that of alot of N.E. friends Arctic Cat (especially the Altera series) is right up there with the toughest and most durable machines on the market. especially the 2021.

Purchased a new 2019 Polaris 570 Sportsman EPS and got rid of it in 3 months due to several problems that the dealer and Polaris couldn't fix. Transmission overheating, sparkplug fouling, and constant squeaking, yes I lost my ass in the process.

Why is the 450ho still in the 400 class? It has a 567cc pro star engine. How are they getting away with that?
@loveracing19886 жыл бұрын
All Terrain Experiments for 2017 and later it is 499cc.

Loveracing1988 it's still a 500 with a 450 sticker. So dishonest.
@triangleofdeath62466 жыл бұрын
All Terrain Experiments It could be Sleeved, sometimes companies will take a certain engine, and sleeve it to reduce the bore for a certain size class. It's cheaper to sleeve down an existing, oversized engine, than to develop a whole new block for the smaller class. This is especially common in race ATVs, where they will take a Engine from say, a 550, and sleeve it down to about 435 CC, so it fits the 450 class.

Your talkin the 570. The 450ho is essentially the old 500s. I've put several of those old 500s through hell and back. Did some break? Yep! I'd still buy em tho.

I'm looking to buy a new quad. I'm your opinion what is the better bike, 2019 cfmoto cforce 600 or the 2018 kymco mxu 700i le esp? Both brand new, both about same price and both equipped the same. Oh and both dealerships are within 10 miles from my house..

For $1500 in savings gives some room for modifying the suspension and moving the brake lever to the other side if you desire.. I have had my Arctic Cat since 2003 and one of the first things I did was to change the rear springs and make adjustments to preload, tire pressures and added 1 inch spacers on all 4 corners, for my personal desired handling characteristics.. Next changes were a tad more aggressive 6 ply radial tires.. Having owned 4x4's for over 50 years (Jeeps, Scouts, 4 wheel drive pickups etc), I have discovered that in many and almost all cases lower power is better (fosters traction rather than spinning and digging deeper holes).. Narrower tires also foster better traction (gets down through the muck to find solid ground for better traction rather than floating in the muck, and trying to paddle in the sloppy stuff).. Tires and ground clearance is the key with just enough power to pull you through without excessive torque and spinning.. My 400 has shamed many with over twice the engine size.. Left them scratching their heads.. Who do you think would win a drag race on ice, a low powered VW Beetle or a high horse powered Corvette - my money would be on the VW for sure..

I know 2 guys that had Polaris, my cousin who had I think a 09 and my friend who has a 2011. Polaris seems to have tons of power, a 400cc is fast as hell. Smooth riding, great AWD. But you can't keep the damn things out of the shop. Polaris seems to be good as long as they are under warranty. Soon as the warranty is out, sell it. I have no idea about CF Moto, no experience with them.

I do like a Polaris, but when I went shopping for a mid-sized 4x4 they just didn't give me the good financing deal that Honda did. I got the 2016 Honda Rancher 420, DCT, IRS, fuel injected model. Well equipped, smooth, tough and reliable motor. For my use it fits the bill perfectly. Polaris would do much better if they would make better financing terms.
@domino48432 жыл бұрын
Financing is done with the dealer or your bank, manufacturers have nothing to do with it. On the other hand you might get rebates from manufacturers, it this what you mean?

I have a question to ask you so my brother is always talking shit about my sportsman 400 (2013) and he has a 2013 Suzuki 750 so what do you guys think is better if you don't consider HP
@jaxsonbrowning30194 жыл бұрын
I'm a bit late, but they are both proven great quads. It also depends on what type of Suzuki it is. Given that it is a 750cc I feel that it would clearly out perform your 400cc, but that does not necessarily mean it's better.

I have a CFMOTO 500 and a Polaris 570. The CFMOTO comes with better tires than the Polaris so it outperforms on crap terrain and river crossings. The Polaris does have a bit more get up and go. Neither machine have ever let me down and for a beginner, the MOTO is easier to manage. Sometimes I prefer it. The CFMOTO is much cheaper and more easy to replace if I destroy it in remote Alaska doing wild Alaskan things. But the Polaris sips gas compared to the CFMOTO which is important when fuel stations are not so easy to get to.
