Dirty “Chicken” Thighs; what's in a name? (Mochi Vienna)

Dirty "Chicken" Thighs, what a great name, well the original name is dirty wings, but I prefer Thighs to Wings. I think the name really represents the dish; get in there and get your fingers dirty, you will be rewarded with an explosion of flavours and the juiciness of the dark chicken meat. Probably the Best way to enjoy fried chicken, both sweet, sour, spicy and crunchy at the same time! This is another recipe from my friends in Vienna, they just brought out a new cookbook and the recipe for Dirty Wings is from there, I only exchanged the protein. As always very nice, Christian. A recipe I have never made, but will do. Actually very soon, yesterday my friend´s parents gave me a whole countryside free-walking chicken. I think I will go a bit easier on the sugar and the syrup, but that is my taste. Luckily I find all other ingredients in my local Korea/Japan shop here in Bucharest, will pass by there tomorrow. The cilantro is essential, but again it is my taste. I agree with boneless thighs instead of wings. The rest of the big chicken will be grilled Portugese piri-piri flat style and of course some left-overs will be an Indian curry. Three meals. Thank you and cheers! Happy New Year!

@@ChrisNilsonGorgott a lot of stuff in Vietnam is less cooked and more fresh. Try street food in markets, often very good. Hygiene may be considered, but it is the same in all of Asia and India except Japan and Korea.
