I'm the proud owner of a 2005 Z4 for the last 15 years and do my best to keep on top of condition and overall cleanliness. I find it hard to understand how someone can let a pretty cool roadster get that that grubby. Great job and so satisfying to see it looking so nice again. A future classic car for sure!

Hello, great work with Z4 and if it wasn't for the horrendous wheels it is as good as new! One question, how do you managed to get those bellow rubber sleeves connecting doors with the car looking like new?? I tried different things and had very little success... :(
@everydaydetailing64494 жыл бұрын
HI Peter I just use regular trim dressing :)
@peterlabiak10514 жыл бұрын
@@everydaydetailing6449 OK, perhaps I wasn't using the correct product then. If you don't mind sharing what trim dressing are you using. BTW I watched with great interest as I am trying to correct the peeling clear on my car's front bumper and after trying different thing with no success I am down to sanding it all down and painting using BMW original base coat and clear. The first time I did it I have wet sanded too much and went through to paint when polishing the clear with my DA lol. At least this time I will the whole thing and clear it 30 mins after and not spend hours trying to blend it etc... I couldn't save the original clear coat as it was too damaged and peeled off in large areas when power washing. Subsequently I discovered the bumper had been worked on as thick "slabs" of base coat were coming off as well!

Hi Conar will depend on the age/engine size as the layouts change. Things to watch out for, cover the alternator at the front, also the A.B.S pump and any E.C.U type control boxes. Probably best to clean the rocker (spark plug cover) by hand if you have concerns. To avoid high pressure from a jet wash you could always use a pump garden sprayer to apply the A.P.C, clean/agitate with a brush, then use the same pump sprayer with clean water to rise off 👍😀 hope that helps, if you are worried or have concerns maybe drop by a local Detailer for specific advice/help to your exact model of Z4

An enjoyable video this one. I've got a question for you: I was expecting you to foam and pressure washer out as much of the moss/compost as possible before hitting it with APC and the brush, just to reduce your work load and the risk of additional scratches. What was your reasoning behind the approach you took? Foaming could be replaced with an APC soak for the sake of argument.
@everydaydetailing64494 жыл бұрын
Hi I tend to soak most of the cars with apc for a while prior to brushing/washing areas .. foaming/fallout remover etc .. all very important but budget and time restrictions do come into play 👍😁 so it’s not always possible to do a 3-5 stage wash process.
@SuperchargedLlama4 жыл бұрын

The dealer thought about changing the wheels, if the car had been £5000 + then he would have, .But due to the lower value and the fact the wheels had nearly brand new matching tyre's he decided to leave it as it was. As you can understand by the time you buy a second hand set probably have to fit tyre's and still have them re-finished it would probably cost around £500-600, on this particular car it didn't quite make economic sense! But yes It would have looked complete with a set of BMW wheels 👍😀
