Most common questions I get ...
1) "Doc, what BLOOD KETONE METER do you recommend?"
ANSWER: FORACARE: on.bozmd.com/fora6 (Promo-code: Dr.Boz)
It's accurate and takes only ONE test-strip to get results. YES!!
2) "Doc, what can I have while fasting?"
Salt + water are best.
Salt: bit.ly/3bkpZMl (Promo code: DrBoz) Sounds weird but it's strangely satisfying.
Black coffee - I prefer cold brew coffee.
Fasting tea Pique Teas:

I'm 64 years old, of course postmenopausal for 10 years, and have gained almost 40 lbs in the last two years! I don't recognize my body anymore and the level of discouragement has been through the roof! I've been pure clean carnivore for 20 days now without a budge in the scale. Before reading Keto Continuum, I would have given up by now and gone back to the same old emotional eating habits. I'm so grateful for Dr. Boz's Keto Continuum book and in such a wonderful way, the explanation of our physiological changes necessary for good health. I'm going to stick with my new lifestyle and stay focused. With all of the attempts at Keto and Carnivore with advice from the best sources in the past, this is the FIRST time I feel empowered to succeed with healing my health through the physiology explanations and the Continuum steps. Thank you so much, Dr. Boz!!!!

Michelle, you are doing great! Hmm, I went to a friends house for dinner, and he is supposedly Keto. He fed me Chicken thighs wrapped in bacon, and green beans with almonds. My weight is not the biggest problem. I am 77 and just had a hip replacement 9 weeks ago. I couldn't even walk for so long due to pain. So trying to get my body firmed up again. If I go to the fridge, I take bites of butter, or a slug of heavy whipping cream. 3:15 am and I am still binge watching. Will have to try to go to bed and sleep at the end of this. Dr. Boz, I have done “Dirty Keto” off and on for about 3 years and have been successful at losing weight. However, I have consistently had side effects that forced me to quit. At the very beginning the most important thing is to switch body chemistry from using glucose to using ketones. Keeping veggies out and eating fatty sources of protein is important in doing this. Once fat adapted then keeping your total carbs to 20g or less is key. Dr. Boz has the best step by step process that absolutely works !! Stay tuned ☺️

Seems like this is a special case for this patient in particular. They seem to want the carbs to be close to zero as possible due to the severe carb addiction. It sounds like even vegetables are off the table because they might overeat too many and thus might cause a relapse and a downward spiral. While some people might be fine with broccoli, not everyone has the same needs. At least thats my suspicion.

It’s important to eat fatty sources of protein .. chicken breast is not that. Chicken thighs/legs with skin on are. Other great examples of fatty sources of protein would be eggs/steak/sausage/sardines/salmon/liver/bacon/cheese/cream/butter etc. Michelle is just finishing week one of her transition and the foods that she’s currently eating are completely focused on switching her chemistry from using glucose to using ketones. This step is absolutely critical in this transition and in creating satiety and eliminating cravings for carbs. Carb addiction is very powerful. Hope this helps ! ☺️
