This is one of my absolute favourites of their covers. It's so beautiful it physically hurts. I don't think I'll ever tire of this one, even though I've listened to it hundreds and hundreds of times over the years.

I totally agree, sharing a Dirty Loops song with others who also love their music, is priceless. Hence I’m here for those DLoops reactions of yours, and always will be ☺️👍 One thing tho: I’ve heard now from a few people who don’t play music themselves, how much they enjoy DLoops. So there goes my preconceived idea of them being a musicians band only…they manage to combine complexity with simplicity and an irresistible groove that makes it easy and super enjoyable for many to listen to, right? And I think the line has been further blurred by everyone, musician or not, getting into the nitty-gritty of what makes their songs great. One gets drawn into their way of creating music-. My thoughts only. And you said it, Charlie: they all, each one of them, stand out as much as each other. Simply mindblowing. I’m glad too that you focused on Jonah’s vocals. To me, Jonah’s voice brings soooo much to each one of their songs…. how he comes in with that high note at the end of that build up is simply nuts!🔥🔥🔥🔥 In another video where he explains the makings of his cover of “Bad”, Jonah talks about how he creates an ‘opening-up’ effect vocally. And now I can’t help hearing this effect in all of Dirty Loops’ songs, “Next to You” being such a prime example of it, too… there’re so many different colour in his voice-. I loved that reaction and listen with you, Charlie. Even taking all these breaks and pauses: it lets me reflect deeper on their music and on the chills it gives me, let’s it bounce around and reverberate inside of me for a little while again… So thanks for all of this bro 👍 Would find it awesome if there were some more DL reactions coming our way in the future ☺️🙏

What I've grown to love and appreciate about them as a band and Jonah as a vocalist is everyone's ability to go balls to the wall but also their ability to pull it all back and just be chill. All three have incredible range in that way and I just love it.

Another amazing performance by them… so simple (at times) yet complex as all hell!!! The chord progressions, the build up, then pulling back down to simple… like you said, to many this would just be a lot of noise, but they really truly are masters at their craft, and I for one appreciate all your enthusiasm bringing them to us time and again. Thanks, brother! Great stuff!

Jonah's abilities for song writing and his chops on the keys also get easily overlooked. The other two members obviously have amazing chops, but I think Jonah is the musical brains behind most of it. But yeah, his timing, dynamics and range are aamzing as a vocalist. He combines Stevie Wonder and MJ with some Jazz sauce. Incredible!

They've said in several interviews that all three of them contribute to both writing and arranging of the songs, and that it varies who has done the most from song to song, so I think it's quite unfair to give Jonah most of the credit. For example, all the songs on the Phoenix EP (Work Shit Out, Next To You, Breakdown, World on Fire, and Rock You) were written almost exclusively by Aron and Henrik, even though Jonah was just as involved with the arrangements as the other two were. On Loopified Jonah did a fair bit of the writing of the base material though, but no song is written and/or arranged without all three of them being involved in some way. Check out the interview with Henrik Linder in Bass Magazine (search for Henrik Linder Songified and it should pop right up), if you want a deeper insight in how they work. That one focusses mostly on the Phoenix EP though.

The dissonans when he sings "forever young, I wanna be forever young" tells me that their interpretation shows the weirdness, the ""off" of being forever young. Do youknow what I mean?

Ihaaaa! Another great reaction to these cats. Please check out some of their live stuff like “Undo” that they did in the pause at the Swedish contest for Eurovision (they had to redo the winner from the year before) or “Just Dance” broadcasted on Swedish television. Both will surely melt your brain, but if you would like to hear some SICK base playing- go for Just Dance.

Yeah, this one is a lit bass solo! In a recent interview on ‘Scott’s Bass Lesson’, Henrik talks about it, and that he’s proud as hell ‘cause he wrote it! 🤣 The dude’s humble, that’s for sure 👍

I felt that this version of Forever Young was very dream-like. Perhaps maybe, and most likely not, they had something like that in mind? It sort of fits with the song, I think. You might have much better thoughts!

Love the reaction. Can you react to Tommy Johansson " She's Gone", I think you like it. He is a member of the group sabaton. No one thinks he can sing because he only plays guitar in the group. PS: He plays all the instruments himself in his videos. Regards: Lasse from Sweden

I disagree with you about what you say that non-musiscian would not get this. Also it's not that dissonant. I'm a pro musiscian that have played classical, jazz, pop and rock on pro level and I never ever asume that people that's not in a musiscians position or/ and have musical insight can't understand what they hear and appreciate what they hear. They don't listen to music... they, above all... feel the music. As a musiscian, hopefully, with both listen, feel and appreciate what we hear.

Dissonant is not a word I would have used. If you listen to any of the originals, they sound like what they are - 21st century blandness. These guys have such harmonic sense. They really can polish a 💩
