Having grown up in the ghetto makes you appreciate when you finally get out it. But also makes you respect where you've come from and the people still stuck there. People don't see there is actually great folks trying to get out. When you only got a few extra bucks a month after the bills are due it's hard to escape. That is the harsh reality of the struggle.

It's not sending aid to other countries and sending it to the inner- cities. Had it occured to anyone that..How can people live like that? Where is the effort to clean up their own neighborhoods? To not throw their gigantic amounts of garbage in Alleys? To not spray paint buildings. To not destroy buildings so badly that they are boarded up and can never be fixed up and repaired to be used again. Again..How can people live like this? There are jobs? Can't it never figured out by the neighborhoods citizens? No, I know that because it's never been able to be figured out. It doesn't take a Sherlock.

A lot of people will make excuses for what you just witnessed. Structural racism will be on the top of that list. In a way, they're right. In another way, we see people who have no pride in their immediate space. I won't even go as far as to say neighborhood pride. Most of those people are stuck there so it's no real pride. But if you don't have the decency to pick up trash outside of your door, then there is something fundamentally wrong with you. There are tons of poor communities all over the world. They at least take pride in their immediate space, and care enough about the kids they have to pass on tradition. You make the best of a bad situation. If not for yourself, for your children. It takes no money, and no real effort at all to pick up trash and not destroy property.

@@AuroraBoarder1 no, in my hood, we had some junkies who could do the moonwalk and dance and sing mJ songs, one hooker could sing all the famous Whitney Houston songs with an amazing voice too!, they ruined their lives with drugs, had lots of talent. The hood has ALOT of lost talent because people are irresponsible.

You’re bugging 1st of all Philly n Camden look damn near identical. Chicago don’t look worse than honestly any major NJ hoods. Bronx don’t look bad from the outside but a lot of dirt happen in them buildings.

Смотрю этот канал давно. Всё пытаюсь понять, кто виноват больше в низком уровне жизни в таких районах, свалках, битых витринах и отсутствии надлежащего ухода за зданиями - кто виноват, люди или муниципальные власти?

@@LexiconDevilOne Camden was rough back then too. It was the Crack era. I know shit is worse now, but I'm sure there are still homes that are nicely furnished on the inside. One of my clients still lives in Camden and her home is very nice on the inside. I wouldn't live there though. 6 years in Philly was enough for me.

@@Rahbinah I’m not talking out my ass. I’ve recently moved out of state, but I grew up in Long Beach. It’s right next door to Compton. I’m very familiar with the city. When I was born (in the 60’s) we lived in Compton, on Lime. We moved from there to North Town LB, then to the area next to El Dorado park. My first apartment was on 60th and Atlantic, in 1988. Compton has always been seen, and known, as a ghetto hood! A few “nice homes” don’t make the area desirable.
