To be 100% honest, you are the best detailer I have seen on KZbin... I am a detailer myself and it really bothers me when I see some of these so-called detailers wash and detail cars. I am very picky when it comes to my details and I think you really nailed it! Keep up the great work and never stop educating the people who watch your videos!

I am also a car detailer (21 years) and i will NEVER apply any kind of wax, sealant or coating on a car that i have not clayed. Having a client run their hand thru the surface of a car and feeling any kind of disturbance on the paint, would be a failure from my part and i will not have that. But i guess i am even more picky than you are, at the end of the day, i am professional with what i do. I wont say a word about her since i have no idea what kind of a deal she made with her clients.

@@Intruder74 I personally wouldn’t clay a vehicle if I wasn’t planning to polish afterwards. Otherwise it’s just gonna leave marring
@Intruder74
@Intruder74 5 ай бұрын
@@AutoCareHQ So you just leave all the tree sap and other contamination on the paint when you wax the car? Just washing the car wont remove those and it leaves the paint feeling rough. Also you risk making hairline scratches when you wipe the wax off, if any of those contaminations lifts off and gets stuck on your towel.
@AutoCareHQ
@AutoCareHQ 5 ай бұрын
@@Intruder74 if the owner doesn't want to pay for a machine polish then a chemical decon and protection is the next best option. To me this is much better than inflicting marring which isn't corrected via polishing. In an ideal world I'd clay and polish every vehicle but if it's not something the owner is looking for then I can't do it

I always enjoy watching detailing videos on KZbin. I wishednif I had the patience to do this weekly or twice monthly. I just don't. When I got my last car, I told the dealer not to wash and wax it. I did a full decontamination including the claying and put diamondbrite on it. Used their products monthly to keep the protection for about 6 to 8 months before getting bored of doing it. I mentioned on a different detailing channel that I went overboard on cleaning and decontaminating the glass, especially on the windscreen: vinegar and newspaper, steel wool, barkeeper's friend, iron fallout, glass cleaner and clay, Angelwax clarity and IPA, before adding h2go. It genuinely lasted almost a year. Definitely over 10 months, and I was getting the beading at 20mph and I guess around 18mph. It was the best one out of the waxes, rainx etc that I used.

@@AutoCareHQ Thanks for the response. I tried using h2go again a couple of times, but not so overboard with the decon and cleaning of the windscreen. I didn't get the same effect and durability. It was mainly because the car was new and I went overboard with the cleaning that the h2go did so well. I wanted to try the Pyramid glass, but they have discontinued it and developing a new one 😔

I do like the fact that yourself and myself along with Nick@YUM rinse the snow foam top to bottom as it makes more sense in my opinion. I do really need to try YUM products but I find them slightly over priced. That VW Blue paint comes up really well when clean and well protected. I have 1000 miles of flies and break dust to remove from my car after a quick 10 day trip to London so that is the plan for tomorrow with my sons MX5 Mk1 and my neighbours car waiting in the wings also.

Hi iv seen a lot of your videos regards detailing cars. I do have a question. When you snow foam the car, have you ever used a wash mitt when cleaning the car or as I just seen on this video, you snow foam the vehicle then let sat for about 5 min or so, then jet wash. As normally I seen people washmit the car after snowboarding. Do you find a lot easy to let the snowfoam do its job before jet washing it off, & dose it give better results? As I do clean my car alot, so I'm finding out what is best when detailing a car.😊 Could you give me some tips that you find easy & more better & quality products to use. Many thanks,. Is it also better to wash the wheels first before washing the rest of the car???😊
@AutoCareHQ
@AutoCareHQ 5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching :) Yep so I always rinse the snow foam off before I go in and use a mitt. This way the bulk of the dirt is removed when the snow foam is rinsed, and it's not rubbed against the finish with the wash mitt (this just helps to reduce the risk of causing micro-marring and swirl marks). Yes I always wash the wheels first. This video is a good one to watch if you're looking for some more info: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g53ZhnRme8iNgLM Also if you're looking for more product recommendations have a look at this section on my website: autocarehq.com/recommended-products/

Nice 👌 Do you recommend cleaning the interior first or exterior first?
@AutoCareHQ
@AutoCareHQ 5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching 😊 if I’m doing a wet-vac extraction on the interior then I usually do that first so it has longer to dry out, otherwise though it doesn’t really matter

Hello blogger, there is a question that has been bothering me. When washing a car outdoors in the sun, should I use a shampoo car wash or a high-foam car wash? I use Koch-Chemie Autoshampoo (koch as) and Koch Active Foam (koch af). Which is safer for car paint when used outdoors? Is it safer to wash directly in the sun without PA, but with two buckets of water? Thank you

I enjoy following your channel. I watch it regularly. Can you tell me how to solve the problem with calcium deposits on the bodywork. I have applied Sonax One ceramics to the bodywork. I live in the south of Germany where it rains all the time and is very humid in the summer. Mineral deposits constantly appear on the bodywork. Can I wax the bodywork on top of the ceramics? Will it stay on the ceramics and for how long? Will it help to solve my problem? Or should I use an acid shampoo on a permanent basis?
@AutoCareHQ
@AutoCareHQ 2 ай бұрын
I would apply a ceramic sealant from the same brand as your coating to be on the safe side. It won't really solve the issue but will shield the coating from the mineral deposits more so it doesn't get clogged as quickly. Do the mineral deposits not come off with a pH neutral pure shampoo?
@vadimyevdokymov7216
@vadimyevdokymov7216 2 ай бұрын
@@AutoCareHQ I've used acidic shampoos and neutral shampoos. I have a car that gets wet every day at night and then gets bright sunshine for half a day. And all those droplets dry on the bodywork. Every day.

No problem. I wouldn't use it as a shampoo, it doesn't really offer any lubrication so the risk of marring will be high. I'd go with the Garage Therapy /ONE: Car Shampoo personally, but Bilt Hamber Auto Wash is really good too if you want to stick with the same brand

Yep I've used it on plenty of ceramics and had no problems. Just make sure to dilute it. You likely won't need to go any more concentrated than 1:9 even if the car is filthy, but for general maintenance around 1:20 is perfect
