To be 100% honest, you are the best detailer I have seen on KZbin... I am a detailer myself and it really bothers me when I see some of these so-called detailers wash and detail cars. I am also a car detailer (21 years) and i will NEVER apply any kind of wax, sealant or coating on a car that i have not clayed. Having a client run their hand thru the surface of a car and feeling any kind of disturbance on the paint, would be a failure from my part and i will not have that. But i guess i am even more picky than you are, at the end of the day, i am professional with what i do. I wont say a word about her since i have no idea what kind of a deal she made with her clients.

@@Intruder74 I personally wouldn’t clay a vehicle if I wasn’t planning to polish afterwards. Otherwise it’s just gonna leave marring
@Intruder745 ай бұрын
@@AutoCareHQ So you just leave all the tree sap and other contamination on the paint when you wax the car? Just washing the car wont remove those and it leaves the paint feeling rough. Also you risk making hairline scratches when you wipe the wax off, if any of those contaminations lifts off and gets stuck on your towel.
@AutoCareHQ5 ай бұрын
@@Intruder74 if the owner doesn't want to pay for a machine polish then a chemical decon and protection is the next best option. To me this is much better than inflicting marring which isn't corrected via polishing. In an ideal world I'd clay and polish every vehicle but if it's not something the owner is looking for then I can't do it

I always enjoy watching detailing videos on KZbin. I wishednif I had the patience to do this weekly or twice monthly. I just don't. When I got my last car, I told the dealer not to wash and wax it. I did a full decontamination including the claying and put diamondbrite on it. Used their products monthly to keep the protection for about 6 to 8 months before getting bored of doing it. I mentioned on a different detailing channel that I went overboard on cleaning and decontaminating the glass, especially on the windscreen: vinegar and newspaper, steel wool, barkeeper's friend, iron fallout, glass cleaner and clay, Angelwax clarity and IPA, before adding h2go. It genuinely lasted almost a year. Definitely over 10 months, and I was getting the beading at 20mph and I guess around 18mph. It was the best one out of the waxes, rainx etc that I used.

@@AutoCareHQ Thanks for the response. I tried using h2go again a couple of times, but not so overboard with the decon and cleaning of the windscreen. I didn't get the same effect and durability. Hi iv seen a lot of your videos regards detailing cars. I do have a question. When you snow foam the car, have you ever used a wash mitt when cleaning the car or as I just seen on this video, you snow foam the vehicle then let sat for about 5 min or so, then jet wash. As normally I seen people washmit the car after snowboarding. Do you find a lot easy to let the snowfoam do its job before jet washing it off, & dose it give better results? As I do clean my car alot, so I'm finding out what is best when detailing a car.😊 Could you give me some tips that you find easy & more better & quality products to use. Many thanks,. Is it also better to wash the wheels first before washing the rest of the car???😊
@AutoCareHQ5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching :) Yep so I always rinse the snow foam off before I go in and use a mitt. This way the bulk of the dirt is removed when the snow foam is rinsed, and it's not rubbed against the finish with the wash mitt (this just helps to reduce the risk of causing micro-marring and swirl marks). Yes I always wash the wheels first. This video is a good one to watch if you're looking for some more info: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g53ZhnRme8iNgLM Also if you're looking for more product recommendations have a look at this section on my website: autocarehq.com/recommended-products/

Car looks great Heather how long did it take to do and do you do the interior on every car you do or just when people ask

Thanks Dave 😊 it just depends what the owner wants, this one took about 6 hours but would’ve been about 3 without filming

Heather I’ve got a 2 stage Gtechniq ceramic coating on my vehicle. Is the Garage Therapy citrus pre wash fairly safe to use? Cheers.

Yep I've used it on plenty of ceramics and had no problems. Just make sure to dilute it. You likely won't need to go any more concentrated than 1:9 even if the car is filthy, but for general maintenance around 1:20 is perfect
