Hey Matt, The thing is that on the original bike as he bought it, it appears that the scrapes are on the right side and the gear shaft does not looked repaired in previous videos. I reckon he knocked that bike off his precariously balanced wobbly stands when it was stripped down to more or less engine, frame and suspension and that's how the gear shaft broke. I saw it around 27:00 in HDS1. I could be wrong but looks to me like it got broken during the series.

I love Del's weird superstitions, Like you got those cargo cults on Pacific islands, cutting runways in the jungle because they thought it'd make the US air force come back and give them free stuff again.. Del wants his kickstand extension to be strong so he uses a piece of a decent tool. ....Either that or he just needed a bit of bar stock and couldn't be arsed going out to get some, but he has to embellish everything he does.

i guess Del never heard of an adjustable kickstand...🤣 tbf my own bike has a welded kickstand but that's because I lowered it and shortened the kickstand and I should buy an adjustable as well. My kickstands only weld is at the foot though, his is in the middle of the stand and has 2. there's a difference.

Kawasaki don't like change, and that's good. Their modern light alloy side stands fit straight on to old Zeds from the Seventies. Ditto for things like colour of their wiring.

Cos he sucks in metal shaping. He made a tail from a couple of tanks too till it has been bigger as the rear wheel and also the belly pan from one. 90 minutes to undo a bolt. Experience 🤣 He took more time to prep and weld the sidestand than both the rear subframe and the belly-pan bracket. 33:55 Still has the Gold bolts, he didn't remove even a single one, after he complained about them over and over 36:45 I think it's resin that dripped down from one of the multiple masterpieces he made over it without any cover 1000% he won't ever change that bolt to the one he supposedly ordered because i'm sure it was like 6£ It looks Awful from all sides, from all angles 57:31 He is so Short and loves making thing higher.
