Could you link some more information regarding Mirtazapine causing agranulocytosis? Here is a link to an article I found (www.journalagent.com/tjh/pdfs/TJH_29_3_297_298.pdf), but it is the only mention of it that I can find, and I am wondering where else you have come across this. Otherwise, I appreciate your breakdown of the question and the application of good test-taking strategy. Thanks for all the videos.

I understand you are making videos for difficult questions, but honestly it would be more helpful to make videos for questions people are 50-50 on. Valproic acid also can causes Agranulocytosis, both are rare. But you’re comparing
@DirtyMedicine5 жыл бұрын
These are questions people get wrong . Valproic acid has less of an association with it than Mirtazepine and therefore it doesn’t get asked since the research is more inconclusive . Also as the question stated, exam writers would sooner ask you about other ADRs. It’s about anticipating what they might ask. And to be fair if you wanted 50/50 questions , maybe a standard Qbank is more appropriate for you. I’m trying to save you points not write questions 50% of people get right

mirtazapine causing agranulo is no where to be found in f.a. maybe you are confusing it with methimazole
@DirtyMedicine5 жыл бұрын
No, you are making a critical mistake that most medical students make thinking that simply because something is NOT in FA means it's not true. Well, it is true and it's showing up more and more because exam writers know that it's not commonly listed in resources. Know it.
@alirahman89645 жыл бұрын
@@DirtyMedicine i'm just saying that there are other drugs more commonly linked to agranulocytosis and since f.a and uw is considered the prime source for study then maybe our focus should be at the s/e of drugs mentioned in it. Didnt mean no disrepect but this question did seem a little off the line.
