Benign - 1) Osteo-chondroma - which age group has cartilage ? Under 25 yo males. Lateral Bony swelling in metaphysis of long bones, covered by cartilage (hence the chon in name). This is most common benign tumor (osteo common droma) 2) Osteoma - simplest oma. Remember simple middle aged people doing yoga in garden, saying "osteooooma". Associated with gardener syndrome. Facial bone affected (you can tell someones age by their face). Sensation of sinus pressure in face. 3) Osteoid osteoma - Not osteoma, as it has osteoid in it (black nodule in cortex of long bone 5:41, easy). Again under 25 male. Gives them night pain relieved by NSAIDs. 4) Osteo-blastoma - exact same as osteoid osteoma except - pain not relieved by NSAIDs (blasted with pain), and location is vertebra. 5) Chondroma - in medulla of small bones like hands and feet 6) Giant cell tumor - in 20-40 yr olds, in epiphysis of long bones. Giant cell arise from bone marrow. Mononuclear Rank-L expressing cells. Soap bubble in X-ray 8:50, easy (if you drop the soap, or you get something giant LMAO) Malignant - 1) Osteo-sarcoma - young teen males. Metaphysis of long bones. Osteo-staroma ~ i.e. sun bursting appearance in xray 10:41, easy. Risk factors (weird) = retinoblastoma, pagets disease and radiation. 2) Chondro-sarcoma - in medulla of pelvis 3) Ewing-sarcoma - white boys under 15. Diaphysis of long bones. t(11,22) translocation. Pathology - Small blue cells that resemble lymphocytes. Onion skin in xray 13:13, not easy (Ew onions)

After experiencing pain in my left Femur since June 2021, back in November it got so bad I could no longer sleep at night and could barely walk in the mornings…. I finally went to the doctor and they said my imaging is consistent with “ Giant Osteoid Osteoma “ it’s an osteoid osteoma that’s 6 inches on the surface of my femur, the pain is un describable. I literally want to scream, 5 minutes after taking Ibuprofen or Naproxen, the pain disappears 100%. Awaiting surgery to get it removed, I cannot wait to be pain free without taking pills!!!! I was 24 when I first noticed it.

@@hectic_het Yes the entire process didn’t cost me a single dollar. From all the doctor visits to MRI’s and X-Rays and finally the surgery. I purchased crutches for $18 from the hospital though as I couldn’t walk for two days.
