Yes, do it! I think it's incredibly cool to go and learn a new skill, especially as an adult! 💪 And the anxiety will get better once youl feel more familiar with the space 😊 and who knows, maybe you even make some friends!

I did it! Love all your tutorials & rewatched this one before going into the park today. First time I went to this park last week, I mostly skated around and carved about halfway up a tiny ramp. Today, I tackled the closest variation of the feature you described in this video. (The one here doesn’t have a flat tabletop so I had to go up and IMMEDIATELY down. Argh!) But it worked! Thank you for your detailed breakdowns. I’ve been following and rollerskating as an adult 50+ for about a year and a half now.

Ive been rollerblading for a few months now, and i find it so hard to find just the reight obsticle to learn new tricks on like jumping, i eventually found all sorts oft hings, but like for newer tricks like a 360 spin.. It sucks that you can find alot of good obsticles depends on were you live

Hello Dirty Deborah Harry, Just found your Video. Great to see you're still Skating at age 55 and doing this Demo of Skating at an Outdoor Skate Park. Folks doing this kind of Skating can really benefit from this kind of Visual Instruction. Great Stuff and it's wonderful that you're sharing your Skating Experience for all to see. I have concerns for your, and other's, Safety when doing the type of Skating your Demonstrating. This has to do with Your Protective Gear, your age and being a woman. It's my understanding and observation, that women in general have smaller bone structures. This increases their risk of Bone and Joint Damage as they age (add bone thinning past age 35) - more so than for men - with respect to Falling. I've seen a few thousand Injuries over my 66 Yr Skating career, and the Ladies have always seemed to suffer the most and worst from Falling - for those reasons. I still get to Observe a range of Injuries to the even better Protected Roller Derby Girls, as I do the Videography for the Kansas City Roller Warriors monthly, here in the KC area. I encourage You to consider wearing a bit More Protective Gear - Specifically - Fore Arm and Elbow Protectors, Hip and Coccyx (Tail-Bone) Protectors at both the Outdoor and Indoor Venues. These will reduce the risk of incurring Debilitating Injuries to these areas that can take Folks Off Skates Forever. The first time you fall on your Elbow, Hip, Tail Bone, or Fore-Arm should alert you to the Importance of Protecting them. Repeated unprotected Falls can result in Accumulative Tissue and/or Joint damage - Mostly Preventable. These type Injuries can happen no matter what type surface you're Skating on. I recommend wearing Wrist and Knee Protectors, Fore Arm and Elbow Protectors, Hip and Coccyx (Tail-Bone) Protectors to be worn by All Folks Skating over the age of 35, whether they Skate Indoors and/or at any Outside Venues (Plus Helmet). In Truth, I'd like to see All Skaters wearing some version these types of Protection. More Folks could then learn to Skate, More folks could keep Skating, and More folks would keep Skating longer in spite of taking Falls. Like you, I'd like for Folks to be able to, and to keep Skating for as long as Possible. I'm certain many will think this is all “Over Kill”, but I've seen most every possible Skating Injury over my 66 years of Skating. Most of those Injuries would have been significantly Reduced or totally Prevented - had those folks been wearing Protective Gear, and a lot more Folks would still be enjoying Skating. Keep Skating and Please Skate Safe SkaterVideoGuy

and this slide ends SMOOOTHly to the ground, i dont have skate parks near me, but in the street theres a certain area where theres some slide HALF the height of the one in the vid BUT the end abruptbly finish in the flor like ____/D_____ (obviously is not meant for skaters its just a side walk with the bord round, and is in my way home, i have to quit my rollers to go to the other side wich have the same structure to go up :( i just panic and prefere to go walking, this is why i understand the part were you say some things seem/fell like gigantic problem i just cant go trhough that litle sidewalk yet :P

Oh my gosh the skate park is my absolute favorite for rollerskating I started like a year ago at this park by my house and I became totally obsessed and I have totally progressed since then! I even stepped up to a pair of impalas instead of my cheap Amazon skates 😏 anyway this was such a fun video I learned a lot even being a semi experienced skater! Also the way you explained being social at the park *chefs kiss*

The skate park here in Wheeling is small and is mainly just one small and EXTREMELY deep bowl. They definitely didn't build it for more than two people at once. It is sooooooo small and sooooooo deep :/ I found out last week that doing a shoot the duck is not meant for angled hills. My butt skin is now apart of Wheeling. It's healing pretty well tho 😹

Pa announcement stay alive do not end up with heat stroke. Drink lots of water. We are baking in WA I is not fun when you are the most advanced skater in class then you passout or away doing crossovers. Man I though I was dead woke up on rink floor with one of the novices hooking an end machine onto me.

To be honest, it have all eight wheels on the floor, one should really have equal weight distribution between both feet. If not, just work it, and it will get there.
