this is what i've been looking for FOREVER. however...I can't seem to find that button. Does anyone know where this is located in Rekordbox 6.7.5? I feel like I've looked in every sub preference section and different view :(

Will Pioneer CDJs and/or Pioneer controllers remember those loops even if you aren't linking to a computer running Rekordbox?
@Slinky1973 Жыл бұрын
Heya :) I play mainly on traktor s5 with all my cue and loop points pre stored. On occasions when I want the outro loop to engage automatically I click shift + click the loop button to make it “active” so the forthcoming outro loop engages and loops WHEN it gets there. BUT I don’t always use this (sometimes I don’t want to engage and let the tune play out normally. I do this as I play live Roland drums while I dj and the less to worry about the better in the dj software. Problem is when I play pro gigs on the pioneer gear (if they don’t let me setup my controller and laptop ect) having this same function either using a usb analyzed with rekordbox or plugging in the CDJs in HID mode with a hub or performance mode + link just to have my laptop library as a “HD” full of my playlists and loops. I’ve seen how u “pre” program these active loops in your video, but is there a way to do it on the fly to turn the active on/off? Especially if just using usb and link mode as then there is no “rekordbox software” to edit the “active on/off” pre stored outro loops there on the cdj..? (I transfer all my traktor loops and cues and info to rekordbox via rekordbuddy)

Hi, how do you set the active loop if you reach the end part of the song and want to use the intro part as your extro? much thanks.

My reKordbox interface looks different, i cant find loops anywhere. Do I need to get a better plan

how do you activate the loop manually when the loop is playing but not activated?

do you mean on Pioneer cdj activation? I think i have the same question with you

Is there a possibility that when we make an active loop on the recordbox and put the track on the usb, that active loop will be read by the player without pressing the loop button again. This method works on a recordbox, but I don't know if it works on a stand-alone USB controller. thank you
@DirtySecretz8 ай бұрын
I can confirm it works on the XDJ-XZ but you're best checking the Pioneer website for full list of supported devices (although this feature was implemented many years ago so most modern Pioneer players should have it)

@@DirtySecretz There is an option when the Rekordbox is in EXPORT mode, not in PERFORMANCE mode. You set how many bars it should be and press memory and mark the loop icon in red color. With that, it automatically makes a loop on the set bar. ✌🏼

Is there a way to stop my controller from starting the song at the active loop when I first load the song into the controller?
@DirtySecretz Жыл бұрын
The active loop is just like any other memory point and usually a track will load up cued from the first memory point. So all you need to do is ensure you have a memory point at the start of the track and it will load that one first.

how do I make a loop 8 bars? Seems like simple info, but I can't fid it.
@DirtySecretz2 жыл бұрын
On the 'Loop/Cue' bar within Rekordbox you'll see a button with a number on and then a "" either side off it. That number is the length of the loop which you can adjust with the left and right arrows. There is also a switch below it that allows you to go between that and manual in & out points on the loop so you may find that is the best way. Hii✨pls update me i hv auto loop active in red set in rekodbox for usb to cdj2000 when it reaches that point it's not triggered..thanks.
@DirtySecretz2 жыл бұрын
I would just check that active loops are enabled on the CDJ 2000, sometimes they are not. Also depending on the CDJ version a firmware update may be needed - best to refer to the Pioneer support for that one.

would this be saved on recordbox and then work on ddj-rzx?
@DirtySecretz3 жыл бұрын
I haven't had any time on the RZX but as it's a Rekordbox controller yes it should all work! There are some older Pioneer standalone players that Active Loops arn't available on but seen as you are controlling the software & it's setup in there it should just work... but don't quote me on that 😉
@Djpetegordon2 жыл бұрын
I've followed this to the letter, set a loop cue point on the last 16 beats of a tune before it sloooows down in tempo and will screw up a mix, set the point as a memory cue, turned it from Orange to Red for Active...but it doesn't work when I play the tune, hits the point, no loop, just keeps on playing. If I use the buttons to jump to that memory cue point and press play, sure enough, it's a loop...but even with it set as an active loop, it's just not working
@DirtySecretz2 жыл бұрын
By not working, do you mean when you play a track in the Rekordbox software or on a Pioneer player like a CDJ? If it's the software make sure you have Active Loops turned on from the little menu next to the Memory points (the button with 3 lines on it, next to the button to turn quantisation on/off). If it's on a player just make sure that player supports active loops. Most of the modern Pioneer players support this but can be sketchy in older players. There is also an ability to turn this on/off on the player so worth checking that too.
@Djpetegordon2 жыл бұрын
@@DirtySecretz THANKS! It was the Active Loops option not turned on! So if I load up these tunes with the active memory loops saved to a CDJ-2000+ range, this works on them, too??? Assume somewhere on the CDJ menu they also have a setting that needs to be on or is it automatic?
@DirtySecretz2 жыл бұрын
@@Djpetegordon I believe the feature is available in anything including or later than the CDJ2000 nexus players. I can't remember though whether its enabled by default (I think it is) but it's worked most times I've used it on CDJs in clubs.
@Djpetegordon2 жыл бұрын
@@DirtySecretz awesome, thanks mate!!! Had this one annoying track that half way through the short outro does a decreasing tempo slow down that screwed a long blend, no issues anymore, last 16 beats now auto-looping! much appreciated

Does this also work when using the dvs system?

I'm not sure, I'd check with Pioneer on which players support Active Loops as not all do
