Disabling the DualSense Trackpad in DS4Windows

I had no idea why my game would start stuttering all of a sudden because maybe my TouchPad was too sensitive or something. Glad to see I can just disable it. Really appreciate it man.

I never comment on videos; but had to give props where it's due! - 2 year old video and still useful as heck! - Playing Diablo IV in 2023 and couldn't get it to stop using the touchpad as a mouse instead of bringing up the map as intended. when i disabled touchpad, on my ps5 controller, right side of touchpad is turned off, but left side of touchpad still works as pc mouse, I tried everything, any help?

YES THIS IS THE SETTING!! So iv had this problem for a year when using contrller + mouse that Any NEW screen i click on the mouse would reset to center of screen. This stopped it. Thank god. Also, no sound in video, but didnt need it.!!!

If you've got no sound while using the pad just click the volume button on the bottom right of your PC's desktop screen and select your PC's default speakers instead of the controller's earpiece jack.

what i want to do is to be able to swipe in whatever direction while in game and do the supposed action as in a console instead of moving my mouse or just pretending to be a keyboard key. Let me explain it: in days gone, if you swipe right you go to the map. As im using ds4, when i swipe right instead of going to the map, it moves my mouse. Now yes, i can set the swipe right action to M key and so opening my map, but the weird thing is that it was working fine before. It just stopped working today. Im pretty sure i didnt touch anything.

Super helpful and straight to the point. I’m playing kingdom come deliverance on my PC but I have a ps5 so naturally I have ps5 controller & that’s what I’m comfortable using. I’m having to use ds4windows because the game itself doesn’t pick up ps5 controllers for some reason. The touchpad would constantly cause cursor stuttering and I think it was also picking up the wind from my fan too 😆 Disabled it and now have no issues with it doing that. Thanks!

Bluetooth support is in both Steam and DS4Windows. However, only Steam supports everything (outside of Haptic and Adaptive Triggers) via Bluetooth. DS4windows only supports input, and touchpad over Bluetooth, but rumble is being worked on. Use Steam for all your Steam games, use DS4Windows with BT for everything non-Steam.

I think that might be playnite, as I've experienced that issue with my Xbox controllers as well. if you hit a button on your keyboard, does Playnite see the DualSense, or still nothing? It only happens now if PlayNite is set to start at launch.

does not work ds4 windows with ps4 controller on ds4 windows 3.3.3 no option disables touch pad.... have to physically disconnect ribbon cable to touch pad. constantly accidentally touching the touch pad screwing me over in games & no games use it.... why did they even add this stupid touch pad? why do they use it on the ps5 controller when the ps4 obviously never used it?
