I was a Democrat for a majority of my adult life. After being disappointed for more times than I could count I went Independent about 10 years ago. I came to the realization that neither party is going to be right every time. I didn't want to be another lemming blindly going with the party line. I now choose my candidate based on who is donating to there campaign. If big Pharma, big Food, Military industrial complex, Tech giants, Industrial giants and Hollywood Elites are all donating to the same party I'm voting for the other guy. They only have there own interests in mind not the people and they want a party that will support their interests.

Yes. When the power hungry deep state, uses their influence in schools, television sitcoms, movies, news media, etc. to destroy a man that promotes the US CONSTITUTION ...individual Freedom, healthier food, less government oversight into your personal life. It will upset the insane democratic communist party. In 2020...from his basement...Joe Biden managed to motivate 15 million more voters to the polls than any other presidential race in history. Total count for 2024 was back to normal. I'm astounded that the democratic Communists didn't come up with another 6 million ballots this year so a woman that can't think for herself , could become leader of the free world As for party affiliations. Clintons, Bushes, Biden, and Obama ALL belonged to the uni-party...along with their opponents. Obama was the most devisive. And showed his hatred for individual freedom. They were all puppets of the globalist cabal that brought us all Covid. Etc.etc.etc.....

I’m not caring who votes for who; people are entitled to. What I hate is that people can just say they’re moving from the US dismissively. Some of us don’t have the luxury to do so. Some of these celebrities that hawked about moving didn’t. The policies aren’t going to affect them at all. Either way it’s going to hurt the average American.

@ it’s not nearly as dis balanced as it is on the left. They are not equal actions this phenomenon is happening vastly on the left. There are studies out there showing that Republicans are open to dating a Democrat. When the question was reversed the vast majority of the Democrat respondents said that was a deal breaker. I don’t know any Republicans that would give up on their country ad quickly as the lady has. I’m not saying there are no Republicans that don’t leave their country. I just have never met them. I work in nursing field. Most of the nurses I’ve met are Democrats. You being in Dumaguete see the Retirement refugees. Maybe they are telling you what you want to hear in order to be more liked? Over hear in the rat race of life most Republicans don’t say things like the left! I respect your opinion unlike many I’ve encountered on the left who are intolerant towards people on the right. The economy and the open borders lost the election for the Democrats. Many people wanted a change. I’m a Hispanic college educated with the earned benefit of the GI Bill. Served my country in combat in Iraq March- December 2003. I’ve been to several different continents and countries and I’m grateful I was born here in the United States of America. The country is bigger than one party and I know the country will always be a beacon of democracy.

The worst part is that, the thug has gained stronger GOP sycophant support than when he first came to office, and one of his many corrupt goals is to remain in power indefinitely. God help the US. Funny thing is... If you casually ignore politics, none of this matters. Do your best, avoid taxes when you can, treat people with kindness and live your life. Walk quietly dressed in a "Don't Tread On Me" T-shirt and a pistol in your pocket. If you must cling to religion, you can cling too, that's fine. Just choose one that isn't a political party. I think many people went to the polls voting with emotion. I look at each candidate’s policy and what they’re plans are. Harris was all over the board. Thank you so much for your well-reasoned explanation of your views and insights. I totally agree with all you say. Keep doing what you do. It’s helpful to hear a different perspective from someone not involved directly in the fray of what’s become life in America.

I came to the Philippines some time back because I wanted to live in a more conservative, traditional, and religious nation. The good thing here in the Philippines is that you're away from the politics, for the most part. In fact, you're not permitted to engage in Philippine politics. I'm glad I moved here and respect anyone who wants to leave behind the divisiveness of the US ... no matter their political views.

I have a tattoo that has writing in the art that say "These colors do not run". Those that run when they don't get their way never had belief in American and what we have fought for. I don't run from challenges and don't care about party names. I just want them to do what the American people, the people they work for, demands them do. I am pretty sure the mandate has been set and is clear for the next administration and congress. I'm retired from the Navy, a disabled combat vet, and I have only considered to go to the Philippines for a long or permeant stay for the tropics. I would not hesitate to stand up again for my country because I love it and the great USA will always be my home. These colors (Red, white & Blue) don't run and neither do I. Have a great day.

Hey Mark , I was a life long Democrat also a Union Representative, I reviewed the Democrat Party’s Platform and could no longer support it. Every one on this TRUMP MAGA TEAM were all former Democrats. I’ve voted for 2 Republicans in my life, Ronald Reagan and 2024 Donald Trump. No regrets, Now I’m ready to go back to the Philippines, I’ve basically been there since 2022 when the Philippines Opened back up. I live in Northern Luzon, Province of Pangasinan. Life is Good in The Philippines. I do have a foot in both Countries, that’s because I can afford it, only by the Grace Of Gods Blessing.

Thanks buddy for being a voice of reason in an unreasonable US of A! My take is that Americans must really have it easy if politics has become the most important thing in their lives. Thanks for being one of the few that still possess tolerance. I have lived in the Philippines for many years now. My return to the US (if ever) has nothing to do with politics.

I'm not an american. But I left Oz due to the govt there. But not due to "politics". Despite owning a house and land, and a substantial amount of assets, the immigration dept there refused to issue my wife a tourist visa!! So I went back, sold up, and moved here. As for yankees, you have all become very tribal, from an outsiders pov. It's still a great country, but there are issues, just like everywhere else. I hope the US settles down, and doesn't lose its way!

I lived in Germany off Base on the economy from 2005-2014. Initially it was very difficult adjusting due to the lack of conveniences, logistical support, then language barrier and I really regretted moving but was under contract with few job prospects back in Texas. In time I ended up really enjoying it when I met a few people and started getting out more after getting over the initial financial hurtles. Honestly had no intention of coming back but work dried up plus my parents were getting older so left. The main problem I see here is that the cost of living has skyrocketed so much since COVID that it has truly hurt people. No matter how some try to spin things, people can actually see and feel the reality on the ground. You are fortunate to have been out of the country the past 6 years as I was during the “financial crisis” in 2008/2009.

Moving to PH because of politics is a little shortsighted and overreactive. Around 50% of the people are happy/unhappy after every election. As you say, take emotion out of it. True, America is not the country I knew 50 years ago, but I did not move here for that reason.
