Disassembly and Tuning the Berg Blades Iron Mutt

I got a skiff fingerbit and its makes free spinning pivots so much easier/comfortable. Just got an iron mutt today, likin it so far!

Had similar issues getting mine tuned. It was one of my first more premium buys, actually took it apart and adjusted and tuned it so much I ended up stripping the pivot screw. Thankfully when I messaged Matt he was gracious enough to get a new one sent out cheap. To my mind this is a user. It’s not super fidgety, action is never gonna be glassy or drop shut, but it’s a great size for edc, ergonomically it feels better in hand than most knives I can think of period, and it’s just a great example of how beautiful something clearly built to be used can be. Got the stonewashed green ano version and everything from the lock bar relief to the contouring to the pocket clip to the fuller serve the form and function equally well. It was irritating to spend so much time trying to get it tuned, worth the effort though.

Thanks for sharing! Would love to get my hands on that version.. but I agree it’s a great edc option and worth the effort to tune it properly!
