Disassembly cleaning and lubing Umarex glock17 gen4 airpistol.

Hi everybody. Based on my experience (I have the umarex G17 gen 4 BB, 4.5mm and 6mm), they do not require excessive cleaning or oiling. Indeed too much grease or oil leads to a loss of power. Infact, the greater the blow back, the lower the output power. Normally to increase power, the blow back resistance is increased up to the limit of the pellet loading. @@itsboi8229 the screw wont come off easily i had to break the screw. Gently drilling the screw with a really thin drill bit.

@@menstoys1881 I noticed excess residual of glue on the screw on my example. Looks like they either used a thread-lock or just glue to hold the screw in place. I wonder if gently heating the area using an hairdryer may loosen the screw?

Hey I notised your glock 17 gen4 by Umarex had a Silverish like upper part? Why mine is black? Also is the upper part loose cuz mine moves a lot

It is black. Just light reflections in camera view making it look silver. The slide is not supposed to be lose, the clunking sound it makes when you shake the gun is caused by the free floating outer barrel. If you hold the outer barrel firm in hand and then shake you should hear minimum noise. The outer barrel is designed to be free floating and will move around.

No hop up adjustment? Is your outer barrel loose?

It is an airgun, not airsoft. It fires 4.5mm steel BBs and don't have hop ups. The heavier steel BBs don't need it. The outer barrel is supposed to be lose, to mimick the breech locking system of the real Glock. It have to move in order to make way for the slide to go backwards just like the real gun.

Pelligun Grease is silicone based right? Also the white stuff is also silicone, correct? I thought silicone based lubricants are good for plastic parts but perform poorly on Metal-Metal surfaces, i.e. they don't really lubricate. Shouldn't you use mineral oil on metal to metal parts instead, and use silicone oil / grease on plastic and rubber parts? Pure mineral oil do not damage the plastic or rubber parts, not the kind of materials that are used in airguns anyway.

It's really not that bad. I just got into airsoft a year or 2 ago myself. I have the airsoft umarex g17. Just takes some patience

Lavoro eseguito pessimo. Nessuna pulizia effettuata con detergenti, lubrificazione con grassi e olii sbagliati nei punti sbagliati con una quantità immensa di lubrificanti. Chi userà questa pistola dovrà lavarsi le mani con la benzina quantomeno.
