Disassembly: Spyderco Paysan - Swapping Bearings for Washers

Simply out of curiosity, I'm going to replace the stock caged bearings for Skiff Thick Washers.

I like the use of the golf tee to push out the pivot, gonna use that next time. I like to polish the surface of the bearing track and the washers before switching out bearings for skiff washers, makes a difference for me. Also I crank the pivot and work the action with 2 hands for a bit, then loosen the pivot for no play. Still gonna be washer action but way better than not doing the extra steps in my experience.

I was thinking of at least polishing the washers, but I wanted to see what it was like first. I think I may do that now though 😂. Good looking out on that! What do you use to polish those components? Only method I ever tried was 800 grit sandpaper on my 940-1 washers with light circular motions.
