Water is coming in through “conduit”. And the wooden ceiling grid you wanted to remove is called “lathe”. And lastly the American writer you referenced is James Fennimore Cooper. Actually, Stan’s command of several languages is amazing. 😃

I was watching Billy's video today and he was using his drone to inspect the convent roof but while he was doing that he was able to show us Château De Pannard and his château just by hovering above the convent, it was so good to see both château's from the convent. I love Stans caring nature and such a hard worker, renovating a château is a full time job by itself without having to run such a physical job as well. I wish you both all the very best for 2025 and I hope you are to achieve everything you want to this year ❤

An item to add to your list you'll love if you do it is: Buy a wet/dry shop vac. Had a flood in my basement from Hurticane Helene. 3-4 inches of water sat down there for 9 days until we had electricity back. Took me several hours but I got all the water out and dried. Love my shop vac!
@rynait15 күн бұрын
they do not have electricity yet that why shop vac is not on their list. My recommendations is get generator and shop vac before wood tools, sawdust clean up is quicker, and generator is useful in "spot of trouble" areas, one example; working on roof. But found from another youtube sources hinting French Electric is notoriously slow with electricity hookup, tend to do a lot of "rescheduling".

@technologyt.angela.8150 Sorry to hear you were flooded from hurricane Helene. We got lucky and Helene didn't come far into Central Florida, so we were ok. We did, however, have to evacuate from the next one after Helene, which was Milton. We had to go north of Jacksonville because the path of Milton was so wishy-washy. We were towing our RV, so had to make sure we weren't in a high wind or tornado area. Glad hurricane season is over.

my family has like 3 high capacity pumps because spring time floods our backyard like crazy, those are only usefull for floods tho, then again if a ditch is made to catch the water the pumps can be used to pump the water away from the building (basically what my family does)
@VintageLPs15 күн бұрын
I, too, kept thinking of a big ShopVac to suck up the water. Can’t they run on a generator? After watching this, I need to hire someone to check my roof and rain gutters in the spring. I just shoveled snow from my driveway over two days. Big flat area in front of the garage and then a steep, curved driveway. We had 8” of snow. I live 400 ft. from hundreds of miles of forest and after watching Los Angeles burn for three days, I will NOT complain about all our snow. ☃️❄️🌨️ Stan, please ALWAYS wear your safety glasses and you will be so used to them that you will forget you have them on.

Those little cut nails hidden in the wood with paste are known in the US as 'finishing nails'. Pretty much just the nail shank with the smallest nub of a head. They are typically countersunk just below the surface of the piece of wood, then the small hole left is filled with a wood filler which is either artificial or made of wood & glue to form a paste.

My dog also loves your music! He has always reacted to harmonica music by "singing" (howling) along. He hasn't done this to any other music until now. He loves it when Stan plays the accordian, and he sings along with the music. This has always delighted me. He is almost 12 and my best buddy. I love seeing him take great joy in singing. Thank you for the music, for your sense of humor and for your obvious love of life and each other. Keep up the good music, and the occasional cooking episodes! Looking forward to more!
