I feel so compelled to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. I am the youngest of a 5 to a father who grew up in the 40's and 50's. I have always felt a connection with that era because of my father. Your videos give a sense as if I were there. Thank you so very much sir for sharing!

I've been on a trip and couldn't answer. No, the soldier wasn't me. It was my brother. I'm the little kid at the start. He just died of natural causes last fall, 83 years old. We're talking World War II service here. After basic training he came home for a few days and then got sent off to the Pacific. I remember crying when we said goodbye to him. We were all so happy when the war ended.

Slim, I hope you're doing well. How did it come to be that your family had a color camera back then? Love your videos. A great addition and a great service to the history of the family farm on KZbin.

Good question about my Dad having a movie camera. I can't answer how, but I'm glad he did and that I could eventually share the films with everyone.
