Not sure how much it did in the game, if they would have survived Durthu or not. But can't issue commands to units in combat with Enlightened on discs. I really like the new format though!

I really love the new style. Btw I saw Belthanos using AAD and Durthu using AAA which is both not possible into TEoD. They block Command Abilities in the Combat Phase. Dont know if it was already in the comments.

Played the enlightened without their most potent ability 😅 You cannot receive ANY commands within 3 and at 13:17 it already happened twice. Went back to the lists to check if they were indeed enlightened and not skyfires 😅 Makes a HUGE difference. The new format is really nice though

Hello, found out this video months after release but was smitten by how beautiful the paint jobs on the sylvaneth are with the darkish purple/noctural colours complemented by the very bright reds/magentas, could I perhaps ask which colours were used there and whether it was airbrushed or painted with brushes and constrasts etc??

Idk why everyone hates on the double turn. Yeah it adds variance but this game perfectly depicts how you can use it as a wildcard when youre behind. In most games it is usually optimal to play with big risky plays when behind, and what better risk-reward than a double turn?

I seem to be in a minority in preferring the old 'battle report' style that clearly describes what's happening without interludes. I found it one of SoW's selling points over other channels, and I've stopped watching the unedited 40k reports because the actual gameplay process isn't much of a spectator sport. In a practical sense the loss of the narrator with a dedicated microphone for most key game events makes it easier to parse than players announcing which spells are being cast (especially as you do what a lot of people do during gameplay, and describe the effect rather than naming the spell - "The Lady of Vines will cast her ward aura" - which takes something from the immersion). Losing the end of turn analysis is also unfortunate - although it can be a little repetitive at times, the players summarising why they made the plays they did is something I generally found interesting and useful.

Why give Magister Master of Magic trait when you can give Cult Demogogue instead to simply auto cast w/destiny dice?

Also helps with unbind reliability. I was able to almost completely lock out Jordan's magic phase because of how much reliable unbinding I had. Also I had no destiny dice recovery so I didn't intend to be spamming out a ton of destiny dice. I needed to save some for my grand strat. Realistically cult demogogue is only going to get 1 maybe 2 auto casts per game and its going to cost you 2-4 destiny dice to do it.

It seems to me that the lord of change can't dispell spiteswarm because who is visibility on him. Something he hasn't seen since he's hidden by the Sylvaneth forest. Very nice battle report !

The requirmeents to be a Locus is that the hero is 9 wounds or less. Mounts are not mentioned.

I don't think durthu could do strike and fade that first turn. With everdusk it goes to a wholy within 6 and i believe that tree was too far away.

It's really dumb, but the wording actually only restricts abilities that requires you to 'pick' a unit, and Strike and Fade is not one that requires that.

It hurts my soul to see all out defense and all out attack being used against the tzaangor enlightened. Easy rule to miss but you can't receive commands within 3" of them in combat phase. "TZAANGOR BUBBLING SCREECHES INTENSIFY"

Not sure im a huge fan of the priority/double turn mechanic. If youre the worlds unluckiest dice thrower like sylvaneth guy youre basically getting double fisted, dry, with a run up.

Warsong just aint that good these days , gotta go lean with Lady of Vines, Durthu, Belty and maybe a Branchwych. Load up on some 6 Kurnoth w/ Greatswords

Still havent been a fan of the warsong this GHB. With primals you are forced to play with him back and take the spellsinger command trait. Then if you play into a heavy spell casting army thats 300 points wasted on a unit.
