Great video thanks. I haven't purchased either one yet and the price difference is pretty substantial, but the things that's making me kind of think about it are people saying how smooth the Monster 2 cables are. And I'm definitely concerned about if the monster 1 will soon be obsolete as they start bringing out out more and more updates because of the processor. . Just wondering what your thoughts are on this
@DisciplineDaveАй бұрын
You bring up some very good points, but to be honest with you I couldn’t really tell a big difference in the smoothness of the cables. If I wasn’t fortunate enough to have both and I’m looking to save money, I would definitely get the Gym monster 1. As far as the updates, I understand your concern, but I think they’re gonna have updates for it for a very long time and even if they don’t as long as I can do, the “free mode” is what I use the most. That’s all I really care about. I don’t do the guided workouts as much. I don’t think it’s that much of a difference to justify the cost difference. In addition, if you do decide to purchase, please use my link I would greatly appreciate it. shrsl.com/4qatq

How do you feel about the 220lbs still being the max weight on those compound exercises most likely to get to that (squat, deadlift, bench press, etc.) and does it feel like too little? I've like most everything I have seen about the gym monster but am hesitant only on this aspect. Really wanting something to do these sorts of exercises at home now and not sure if that weight limit will become a limiting factor too quickly or not.

@DisciplineDave24 күн бұрын
Yes it does it does a full body assessment and lets you know what resistance levels you should use based on your strength levels.
@lollouk48316 күн бұрын
What do you think about the following points 1 Vertical lats exercises aren't ideal because the structure isn't tall enough and the ROM is limited 2 the total resistance should be higher (150kg) 3 the structure should be wider or incorporate adjustable arms so the cables don't touch your body during (chest) action. 4 better ecosystem for legs, for leg extensions/curls, maybe atracching the cables to the bench with specific attachment. With these improvements this machine would be great. As it is, it is a decent and expensive piece of equipment for average people.
@DisciplineDave11 күн бұрын
1. I would like it higher but it really only limits one exercise for me (Lat pull downs) 2. The resistance is heavier then you thing because pulled force vs gravity force (weights) 3. Cable extenders that they sell fixes that 4. Most of my leg exercises that I use I don't use the bench Those are my thoughts

Thanks for the information. I was just thinking about your channel. A doctor told me I have degenerative disc disease. Working out with weights tends to give me back spasms. During the pandemic I used bands and i did not have that problem. Therefore, I might need to go back to them.
@Jojo-CY3 ай бұрын
I have back issues too. Its from all the years of working out with heavy weights. Deadlifts and military press will mess your back up. So i had to stop working out for a period of time. Two years ago....i started working out again. This time...I incorporated bands and some light dumbbells. Two days ago....i went to a gym with a friend (big dude) and i was surprised that i was doing the same weight that he was. I kept up with him. I was tho a little sore the next day from lifting heavy. What i am saying is bands work and will keep you healthy. I would recommend bands to anyone.
