Remember, Hogan when he returned on July Nitro after BATB 1999 he was over, he was meant to be heel but only because Savage was heel Hogan could go over as face. Wolfpac was over as f@ck, no question. I think turning Hall against Nash was a bad idea. Hall should have been NWO Wolfpac the entire time. Konnan was a great fit. I would have kept Sting and Luger WCW. The fans loved it, but looking back those two really didn't fit in. Maybe have Scott Steiner and Bagwell with the Red & Black from the start. Keep Savage with Hogan in the B&W along with Hennig. I would have left guys like Horace, Brian Adams, etc, completely out of the faction, they watered it down. But who else would you have in NWO Hollywood? Dare I say Bret Hart. Who knows...

Wolfpac was super over during the peak of WCW. Yes, 1998 was the peak (by far) not 1997. Every crowd was packed with Wolfpac t-shirts and wolfpac related signs. They had 4 legit top guy future HOF'ers and 1 rising star future HOF'er. Arguably more over than DX. Despite this they've never got the recognition. Massively underrated. Wolfpac was so much more over and cool, that when the two nWo factions merged back together, Hogan donned the red an black and they were called the Wolfpac. And the jobbers nWo members wore the black and white.

@@blueblur2273 Dude, anyone can look up the numbers. DX was formed in like September 1997, which was still in the middle of the 83 week winning streak. WWF didn't beat WCW in rating until mid-April. WCW won every ratings battle in August and September of 1998. If you think the only thing keeping WCW competive was Goldberg you are an ignorant unknowledgable moron. Go look at the crowds you fucking moron - filled with red and black. Goldberg debuted in SOLD OUT arenas - what don't you comprehend about that? Goldberg rode the wave nWo created. To actually believe Nash, Sting, Macho Man, Luger and even Konnan didn't contribute to WCW's success in 1998 is laughable. Wolfpac were more over arguably that DX in 1998. Don't let 20+ years of neglect and propaganda lauding DX as the GOAT faction by WWE revisionist history fool you. And stop being an utter moron to think Goldberg is the only reason WCW drew in 1998 - his matches were a few mins long on a 3 hour show - a 3 hour show that delivered huge quarter hours every segment Goldberg was NOT on. WCW sold out shows Goldberg was NOT on. WCW drew big PPV buyrates Goldberg was NOT advertised for. Moron.

The obvious answer is that DDP and Malone is the bigger draw with Malone coming off losing in the Finals series against Rodman and the Bulls. Rodman and Malone would not only bring in wrestling fans but bring in basketball fans as well as casuals who want to see those two go at it especially with how they were playing each other after the Finals. A NBA Finals which till this day is the highest rating Finals in NBA history. It's a no brainer to put work with DDP and Malone and get more exposure. The Kevin Sullivan answer is Hogan felt Nash was beneath him and didn't want to work against him ever. According to Disco and Konan, Hogan was scared that Wolfpac was getting more over than Hollywood that he manipulated storylines and which wrestler joined which factions so the Wolfpac wouldn't look better than Hollywood. Nash got so fed up with Hogan's antics that he decided he wasn't going to work with Hogan anymore.

I’m sure Hogan and “that doesent work for me Brother” had a huge hand in undercutting the Wolfpac. Hogan was calling all of the shots in the upper card in WCW. They gave him a contract where he was running the show. Stupid decision. Pillman tricked Bischoff into the release for the Loose Cannon gimmick, because Hogan saw how Pillman was getting over and used a title shot offer to try to have a match against Pillman and bury him before he got too over and became a focus of the upper card. Pillman was charismatic and a great talker. Hogan wanted to cut his legs out from under him before he reached the top of the ladder. Which is why Pillman working Bischoff into shoot releasing him was a master play. Pillman knew he didn’t want to face Hogan and get buried. He was smart and knew what Hogans real motive was.
