The butterfly effect REALLY went through a lot. Reason being: Lucina stated that her father (Chrom), taught her how to fight. Yet in the game, Lucina is born after the war with Plegia. So at best, she would have been 2 years old at that time. If the same happened in the original timeline, then the war with Valm had to have happened much later or so, because she had to have grown a few more years to be able to train with the sword. So for Chrom to have been killed in the original timeline, it would have to have been several more years later. So that means that the interference in time has caused things that should have occurred much later to happen much sooner instead.

Xochitl Rosales Simple. Cynthia likely wasn't old enough to remember exactly how Chrom looked like. It wasn't established exactly how old Cynthia is compared to the rest. Only person whose age is understood enough is Laurent's. And remember that Chrom was the first parent to die, before the war with Grima began. So Cynthia ended up growing more and more with Sumia and Lucina, thus she could remember them perfectly, but not her father, though she claims that Chrom called her his "pega-pony princess" or something like that.

It should be interesting to know that it was stated in heroes that robin met himself in the tempest, weird right? But not only that, it was his female version, however just like how girl robin and guy robin live in different dimensions, what if in fire emblem awakening, the marth that comes to the past is a female lucina, but her coming changed probability (I’m going to focus on a particular universe, because lucina should have sparked a multiverse by coming back in time, she probably was lucky that she didn’t have much of a role, otherwise the situation could have yielded a paradox) within her universe and in the future, instead of a female lucina being born, Chrom has a son named lucin with the brand of the exalt in his right eye instead of his left. But here’s another really interesting question, what if when lucina came back to the past she changed probability enough for chrom to have a son but she died soon after while remaining ambiguous and forgotten (before she revealed her true identity, people would only wonder where the masked man went but never really delve themselves too deeply since they didn’t know this person) and male Lucina must go on to fight a grima after his future is destroyed (lucina was able to warn the people in the past of the future which allowed them to make plans to deal with it and get the best outcome, if lucina died beforehand, the past would yield the same result, just with a male lucina)

Lucina is from a different timeline. Maybe Chrom was killed later in that timeline, allowing Chrom to teach Lucina swordsmanship, whereas in this timeline, the butterfly effect may have accelerated Chrom's death or something like that.

Remember Chrom's death in Premonition? At that time she was still a baby, with her parents being absent for the Valm quest (Sumia might've died before Chapter 23, since only Chrom and Robin are playable in Premonition, Premonition Chrom died in alternate Chapter 23, and Lucina never know the actual details about how he dies, until Awakening Chrom's presumed death in Chapter 23), unless she had someone teach her how to fight, like the hero Chrom was. So it's impossible for Chrom to teach Lucina how to fight.
