Just the method of recruiting him is genius. There's no tutorial or messages about talking to him or recruiting him. He's just THERE. And if you don't get Chrom over to talk to him... he's gone. You just never recruit him. It's entirely possible for new players to miss Kellam entirely by, you guessed it, not noticing him!

I love how intense the presentations are for criticals in Awakening. It’s just a narrowing shot of a character’s sprite with lighting in the background, but it just feels so badass. I also like how it doesn’t show the whole unit’s face. Awakening’s criticals are like the stuff you see in a shounen anime before a powerful attack. Fates is okay with having the unit’s expression change (I like how Jakob is disgusted) but some of them are just opening mouths. They’re also more longer and can be awkward if the quote is short, but Awakening just feels so fast with the narrowing and lighting. The critical presentation in Echoes is...kinda bad. I really don’t like how the art stares right at you, it’s like they’re gonna kill me.
