and if you have any alternative that you use right now, make sure to mention that.

I have a question. Why would anyone want to pay $500 for an add-on which requires a whole lot of work and then you can't even use the model commercially? The only use for this is making a 3D model of yourself or your friends, but a) that can be done with most decent phones, and b) I think $500 is a bit much to just be able to make an unusable model of myself.

It's true the price tag is so high, but just like 3D scans anything can be turned into a commercial model with a little bit time and clean up, it's true that you can make a model with your phone but this add-on power in my opinion is when you make likeness of a celebrity or someone that you don't have access IRL, even if you don't use the head it generates you can find the general shape of the subject but still the price is so high up that with two of this add-on you can the whole ZBrush. But I think this Add-On is a solid 40$ and if they add the commercial version built-in it's a sold 80$ add-on.

Why would you want to make a 3D model of a celebrity that you can't use? You don't have rights to use that person's likeness in any commercial project. You can buy a LiDAR enabled phone for that price, which has the many advantages of being a phone, but can also make 3D models, with complete textures - as in, textures which go all the way around the model. You can also be sure to scan your face in the right lighting, so there won't be any baked in shadows. Probably requires less time to clean up than you spent aligning that mesh with the Rock's face. With so many great add-ons out there for $5 or less, I think this company is a joke asking for $500 for something with very limited capability and with a pretty bad final output. @@mck3D

everything you said is true, but making a likeness is a thing, I do not mean selling stuff when I'm talking about commercials, I mean commercial-level model, and to be honest cleaning up the phone scanned models take the same time as this model, the only commercial-level 3D scanning are studios with huge budgets, and as I said likeness sculpting is a thing and you don't have access to the celebrities with all that said the only use of this add-on if for portfolio or likeness practices BUT the price is so high that those kinds of persons can't afford it, with all that said maybe company has good sales that didn't reduce the price.

Yes, I guess that's true. One could include the model in their portfolio, tagged, "look at this amazing likeness which an add-on made." Cleaning up scans takes about 5 minutes even with free software like Instant mesh. Or one could purchase Quad Remesher (for much less than this rip-off add-on) and get a much better result with much more use.@@mck3D

TBH putting a likeness that is made with an add-on does not contribute to your portfolio but it's a good practice tool if you use the trial version of it. If 3D scans are going to be used for a likeness hyper-realistic model, they need to be cleaned up with proper retopology and even more proper if you want to use it for animations and textures should consist of realistic albedo, 3 different passes of displacements and some ambient occlusion and roughness and some masks this is the industry standard and those textures generated with mobile 3D scan apps are just a texture that captured with normal cameras they are good to have in hand but far away from what you can create with proper tool. Quad Remesher helps to make your mesh quad but it's not industry standard topology. All that said, you are right about the add-on, If you don't want to pay for it for any reason, you can say I don't like the name or whatever, it's okay, don't buy it, after all it's your choice and your right, no argument in that.
