I like how he says he’s using a reference for the human anatomy even tho we can’t see it. Lots of artists (especially beginner artists) don’t realize that references are extremely important, and nothing to be ashamed of using. I’ve been doing digital art for years and using a reference for clothing, anatomy, lighting, form, movement, etc etc., helps me tremendously

@figmoa20134 жыл бұрын
Indeed, you gotta learn to just dont get dessparate on early stages and keep going until you start building that appeal of the character and believe me the sensation is pretty rewarding, it happens to me all the time, is like after 7hrs sculpt i feel that it was so worth in the end.

I thought that making 3D art would be very complicated so I didn't want to try it (cuz I'm lazy) but after watching this I feel like I can do this! this is kinda like 2D art, you just need to figure out the shapes (and the program) and that's all!I feel like trying this now! thank you for the inspiration! you have a new subscriber UwU 💜

I had to take a 3D class for school and found myself mostly cursing at the program. I hated being restricted with the graph and poly shapes (this was in Maya). There is a learning curve to each program but if you give it time and practice you can get use to it and make your own 3D art.
@seraby71514 жыл бұрын
@@Icpandas true. Moving from 2d to 3d sucks. There's just too many restrictions and more mathematical, unlike when moving from traditional to digital 2d.

This is really amazing, totally recommended: I got Danny's Next level, I can say it is totally worth it... long story short: this is my 2nd month taking Zbrush seriously so I'm no beginner but also I'm not even on an advance level, had the software for about a year now, but never took it seriously until the beginning of August, I've been struggling A LOT to sculpt heads, in fact only way I have been able to do so has been to put referense inside zbrush with spotlight and lower opacity but I always knew that would hold me back on the long run, so I took the initiative to use reference OUTSIDE Zbrush (with pureRef) but my heads were always so creepy.... Then again, I've already tried many things, did my serious studies (face planes, proportions, anatomy) also even did these studies by drawing them (not jumping directly into sculpting) and followed many other tutorials, so this is no magic, it requires serious work and study, but after getting this I made a rough attempt of following with the references in pureRef and in one day I was able to achieve a more decent looking head (of course, I still need more practice, but I got to level 6 in just one afternoon).

I really am interested in doing 3D figures and wondering how to make them easily. But I guess it’s still as hard as you think because you need an eye for details. I’m watching vids like this to help boost my confidence. And hopefully, be able to learn these things. I’m still 12 and I guess I still have a lot of things to discover. I’m commenting to say “Thank you” to the people who do these tutorials. It really makes me want to continue my hope when I grow up. Thank you Danny Mac 3D!

I'm brand new to Blender and this type of program. I've had it less than 24 hours. It's kinda amazing. I've been a sculptor (of clay and various materials) all my life but it never occurred to me this was translated into digital. You call yourself a sculptor and it clicked. I just assumed it was all hand-drawn. Really mind-blowing. I can't draw for the life of me but this I can do. Now alls left to do is get around the learning curve.

I started with hard surface modelling on Blender in February but with the things I want to do I need also to go more into character modelling. Soo much to learn. I started it a bit softer with an existing model where I am doing a new Armor and clothes for which gives me a feel for the underlying shapes and it already feels totally different. But the way I am doing it is inefficient. Most shapes I start as some planes make some basic placement and add geometry over time. It works for now but seeing how much faster it can be I will make myself more familiar over time with the tools. Your video is a great starting point for this and I will come back more often to your channel to learn more.

Hi Danny! I bought your base level modelling set, and so far looks really good! I would absolutely love lessons or guides to go along with each of the levels. Obviously level 1 is pretty easy. I know how to join meshes for level two, but there will be many others who don't know how. I would also love to see tips on what to focus on for each level. I.e. level one is about the overall shape of the head. Level 2 is about getting the ears and neck in place. etc etc. Even a text document to go along with the meshes would be super helpful.
