Seeing you make yogurt was really cool! I didn't know that was possible. I might have to try that sometime! The power usage of that Instant Pot is also very good. I always learn so much from your videos.

Your video showed up on my feed and so glad it did. Thank you for your testing. I bought the 3 qt and I have used it at home 3 times and I like the results. I did buy it for the intention of using in my van while camping and I do have an 1800 watt Bluetti so no problem there. Looking forward to watching your other videos as well because I saw you have an induction and Stanley cookware which I have too. New subscriber.

Welcome!!!! The 3 quart is fantastic! I use it at least 3-4 times a week. I have cooked all kinds of things with it. I have found that I am picking the Stanley over my other cookware in that size. I like its performance and lightweight. I am using the induction burner quite often too and prefer it now too. It’s amazing how well all these items perform - especially for small families. These are all used in my camper van too. Thank you so much for subscribing and your wonderful note! Katy

Great video! I'm subscribing now. I have the 3qt 700W also, having bought it for car camping, but actually have only used it at home. The only camping trip I took since getting it, included bringing a lot of other gear to the solar eclipse in TX, and a lot of hiking gear for NV, so I simply was out of room for extra equipment in a Prius. I do plan to still use it on a future trip. At home, I've made some great beef roasts in it, adding nothing more than a little water and a can of diced tomato or a jar of spaghetti sauce.

Hi, new subscriber here👋🏾. Small suggestion would be to add the power station you used name into the title, if possible. (Ecoflow cooking) It might help others find the content they need. Thanks for the information, looking forward to trying your recipes. 😊

Hi!!!! Welcome! Thank you for becoming a subscriber! Great suggestion! I will study some of the tools that I have (new KZbinr) and see where I can add that in! I will definately add it to the video description. I really appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback! I have another Instant Pot video coming out on Friday - I hope you will like that one too!

Very interesting. It is pretty amazing what you can accomplish at lower amps. I have a 200W steamer that I am experimenting with, and am pretty shocked at how things like rice and oatmeal come out in 20-30 min with low power. You aren't getting a large qty of food, but I am one person, so it works out.
@KatysCampKitchen4 ай бұрын
That’s neat! I am constantly amazed at how little energy can be used to cook with when we use these smaller devices. I rarely use my big stove these days….
@wardrobelion4 ай бұрын
My little steamer cooks eggs perfectly too in less than 10 minutes and I think mine may be 250w. It'll cook a 🥔 whole pot in 2 water/steamer cycles too. About 15 minutes. I can actually fit 2 smaller baking potatoes. I loved mine until it stopped working 😢
@RobertWitham4 ай бұрын
That is interesting! I would have expected higher energy usage. We've been kicking around the idea of trying one of these for the van and trailer.

Hi Robert! So glad to see you! It is great for one pot meals too! I take it on every trip and use it often here at home base. This is a perfect size for two with leftovers. Thanks for your note! Katy PS I finally hit 500 subscribers!

I have the bigger instant pot and pressure cook eggs for 2 minutes and slow release for 15 they come out perfect. The bigger units pulls around a 1000 w's while heating up. Does the instant pot size matter on cooking times? I want to get the smaller one for things like eggs, rice etc.. I love my instant pot and power stations. Great video really enjoyed it!
@KatysCampKitchen4 ай бұрын
@@johnmal5975 Hi! No the cooking times don’t change. The time to come to pressure (the pre-heat) may change since a bigger volume is being pressurized, but then you have more power too. I base this on reading numerous web posts and my own experience when I had larger IPs. There will be a small difference in some corner cases, but generally not. The thing that does matter is density , size of food pieces and thickness. For example, for diced potatoes, I would go 4-5 minutes. For a large whole baking potato, 15ish versus the 10 minutes for these larger cubes. Also for the eggs, you could put in even a dozen and be the same. Thanks so much for your comment! I really appreciate it! Katy
@johnmal59754 ай бұрын
@@KatysCampKitchen Thank you, I am going to get that smaller one as well then. When I make an egg salad or potato salad for me and my wife that smaller one makes more sense. Plus my smaller power stations will run that one without stressing themselves. Lol

Did l understand ? 28 minutes to hardboil 6 eggs. I'll do it on my stove in 12 minutes.
@KatysCampKitchen4 ай бұрын
Hi ! Thanks so much for your comment! Yes, you understand…. It is 28 minutes total. All this time is hands off - you can walk away and do other things. 28 minutes total time from the time I turn on the power to taking the out and putting in cold water. The time is not all “boiling” time though… The 28 minutes are broken down like this…. 8 minutes for the pressure cooker to preheat and come to pressure- this is when almost all power is being used. The 20 minutes portion is where the eggs continue to cook from the residual heat in the pressure cooker, while the natural pressure releases - there is no appreciable power being used. All 28 minutes are hands free. I hope that clarified what I was trying to say. Thanks so much for your comment! Katy 😊
