Listen!!!! This is my first time watching any of your content. I paused the video halfway through to comment! I Love you already!!!! The moment you described the Level 2 hydration I knew you were competent with your knowledge. EVERYBODY and their mama been saying your low porosity light oils, light creams, light light light I've been natural for 4 years and only 1 month ago I out sheer curiosity tried Olive oil. I felt like I've been conned and misinformed for years!!!! Granted iIdo understand the learning curb seeing that most of us just didnt know and was going with what we have been taught. Thank You for sharing I'm going to proceed to finish the video now and binge-watch your other content lol

You were on point with the high porosity. My hair is not damaged at all and is naturally high porosity. I definitely layer my products: shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, liquid moisturizer, then a light moisturizing gel. When I restyle in between shampoos, I just rinse thoroughly then reapply the leave-in conditioner, moisturizer, and gel. All of the products I use are water-based, but they do contain oils, fatty alcohols, and butters. With this routine, my hair stays moisturized in between shampoos (every 4-5 days). If I restyle in between shampoos, it's only because I want it to look fresh, not because it's dry, so the layering is quite effective.

Ok I have a quick question. Can I be a #3 without having thick hair?? My hair is finer and it’s only visible when I plank it up and I see how the thickness of my braids. However, I have to moisturize, seal and braid or twist my hair up nightly to keep it soft and manageable. I feel you’re so right that it can change from 3 to 1 because I’m doing the protein treatment biweekly and deep conditioning weekly and I’m noticing that the moisture level is improving. So I’m going to also start implementing ACV rinsing and rice water too. Do you have a rice water video?? I’m a RN and I am here so the facts you’re sharing and not just opinion. Thank you for teaching and taking the time to care.❤

I was thinking the same thing but I'm assuming the acv rinse which closes the cuticles starts the layering process to seal in moisture
@iambloopy
@iambloopy 2 жыл бұрын
When you have HP hair your cuticles are very open. An ACV rinse will help to close up your cuticles a little bit so that your hair can retain moisture a little bit better. Having to reopen them is not necessary as it defeats the purpose of using ACV & also because your cuticles are not completely closed. I hope I was able to help you, even if it's just a little bit? 😅

Hi! Thank you for all of your videos they are so very informative and teaching and I love that they are not lengthy but packed with loads of needed info. I'm not quite sure which level I fall under as I have mixed porosity hair that is more high porosity than low or regular. In addition, my curls are 4b fine medium density. Although my hair appears thick and full it is rather the opposite and does not retain moisture for more than a day or two and my ends are often dryno matter what I do. 😞 Which level would you say my hair falls under and any suggestions on the best remedy for my dry ends?

Protein treatments are to be used sparingly for low porosity hair The purpose of a protein treatment is to repair, strengthen and close up the hair cuticle and to do that to low porosity hair frequently will make it harder for your hair to absorb moisture.
