I have one and use it regularly. I have the surrounds all over the room and I have a turntable setup. I later found the cd carousel and dual tape decks. It can play quite loud but I don't turn it up in my neighborhood. I am not an audiophile but I have never had an issue with the sound clarity. It has several 'equivalent type presets (jazz/rock/theatre/cinema) These sometimes power off automatically but there's a diy somewhere that shows which solder point needs resoldering to fix that. I fixed mine and I've never had any other problem.

Kitty! 😍🥰 Also, I got a question. I have a Kenwood Surround Sound, kinda like a home theater system. But I have an issue with powering it up. I can turn it on, but it shuts off after a few seconds. Any idea what causes it?

Could I plug a 16 gauge stereo wire into these Kenwood speakers or does it have to use the thinner ones that come with it?

You can use just about any wire with speakers. The only exceptions are if they don't physically fit into the terminals, or if you're running a lot of power through them that exceeds the current capacity of the wire. As a general rule, "zip cord" as is common in small extension cords and lamps is a good choice. You can simply find that somewhere, cut the ends off, unzip it by pulling it apart, and you now have two speaker wires after cutting the insulation off the ends.

I don't have a lot of specific advice, but one thing that's always worth checking is if any of the large electrolytic capacitors have gone bad, which you can tell visually from them having a bulge on the top.
