The town of Villanueva del Trabuco in Malaga province is located in the southeast of the Antequera region. At the outskirts of the Gorda and San Jorge mountains. The landscape is created by cereal and olive groves. In the town, two streams descending from the two mountains come together and with the Gibalto river, they form the Guadalhorce river.
Fiestas
Feria de Agosto 24th, 25th and 26th August - Its origin is found in a cattle buying and selling fair attended by many dealers from the surrounding area to carry out their business.
Fiestas patronales - It is celebrated every year around the 15th of September, the day of Ntra Sra de los Dolores. It is the biggest celebration of the year, with numerous activities in which all the people of the town participate as well as the many visitors that arrive to the town.
