Mexico is really blowing me away. Beautiful!

What a stunning place. My gosh. The views from way up and the views from the boat. And the buildings. Mexico is magic.
@theodoresmith52723 жыл бұрын
I went there in Oct and Nov this last year because mexico was the only place you didnt need testing. Ive been to many places and wasnt that pumped up for mexico. Boy was I wrong. I went from cancun(very cheap for me.) Merida, palenque and San cristabol and love the nature and eco tourism. From there I flew up to guatajauto to San Miguel which were awesome cool cities. Then cuadad villes for more nature and ended in the amazing mexico City.

@@theodoresmith5272 My favorite places outside the mainland USA are the coast of Italy and Maui. I've been afraid of Mexico. But Jumping Places can do anything. They made me fall in love with the Philippines and Portugal and especially Mexico.
@theodoresmith52723 жыл бұрын
@@stevefraser1409 Italy is amazing. Spain too. just said it to a friend the other day "every time I think of going back to Europe, Asia or Africa, I go back south because of the people." outside of cancun, The Yucatan and chiapas are actually super safe. Merida is the 2nd safest city in the world. Ive been to guatamala too. It night and day as far as safety. I did do a little homework to learn which towns like Leon to stay out of. Overall I felt very safe. I used buses like I have in most countries. I used colectivo taxis, which I usually avoid, in the south it was that safe. I do have some rules like I dont drink much, and I'm in my room by 10pm or before and stay in areas kids are at. Im there for eco /adventure tours, ruins and culture. I can party at home. The squares in the evenings are like a carnival every night. Also in 38 days I never got offered drug, or saw prostitution at all. It was also pretty inexpensive but you got pretty good quality. I never spent more the $25 dollars on a room, I stayed in 9 and only 1 was I unhappy about. If you spend $30-40 its very livable. Buses were pricy but in country flights are very reasonable. Mexico is a great place to fly into one place and leave from another.

Well, I have to say that your channel is my favourite...watch it every day during my cardio. I accidentally hooked with one of your video on Portugal about 4 months ago...that I had to start from the beginning and currently watching El Nido from when you got locked in...Very sad...My kids are in their twenties so I keep thinking of them being stuck so far away. Your videos are very informative and extremely likeable. Wishing you both all the best.

Saludos, Here some extra tips for everyone wanting to come to Chiapas and finding these videos.. Tuxtla is the state Capitol (and the biggest city with an Intl airport) so yeah, it's not as pretty as San Cristóbal or Comitan, but there are also other things to do here.. you could go to the Zoomat, which is a conservation zoo (one of a kind) or go to the museums/botanic garden.. also from here you could take some day tours like Aguacero, Cima de las cotorras (you would be pretty close to both) and even go to El Chiflon and it would be the same experience/time as if you took the tour in San Cristobal.. Now, Lagos de Montebello and Lagos de Colon are closer to San Cristóbal and even closer to Comitan.. And Agua Azul is half way between San Cristóbal and Palenque (you could get there from any of those cities) but keep in mind that any of these places are not "around the corner".. most of them imply a 2-3 hours drive, in quite serpentine roads.. you may think that they are pretty close (under 80km or 50 miles) but it will take a while to get there.. Quick note on Chiapa de Corzo.. it was the first city founded by the Spaniards.. and was the main city for quite a while (until San Cristóbal took that place over).. The church (Santo Domingo) had also a convent for the Nuns, and it was closed after the damages of an 8.2 earthquake on september 2017.. since then, the autorities have been working in many historic landmarks to restore them Saludos

Nice boat cruise, loved the church in the city at the end of the boat ride. It looks like a very nice quiet place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Great drone footage, but then you are my favorite drone man. Carolina would look great in a nice light colorful blouse. Maybe she needs a new lovely gift from her loving husband. Glad you are enjoying the Mexico trip as I am enjoying watching it. peace my dear friends and hope all is going well with your health. Lanette and myself are always watching for you both and she says hello to you both. blessings my friends.

Haha! SUMIDERO CANYON on the Grijalva River is where the first comic book and script of "THE LOAIZA FORTUN ADVENTURES" begins and ends. Loaiza's a Mexicana Indiana Jones-Lara Croft. You just passed where there's a secret entrance to a Maya Valley of the Kings high up the escarpment wall... in the story of course (look for an eagle carved into the stone at boat level)! One of those tour boats picks up Loaiza at the end! I'll be in Planenque and Sumidero-Chiapas again in October writing the 2nd story.

Majestic! The canyon was a big surprise to me. Your camera work was very good as usual. When you included the boat in your shot from one of the view points at the rim of the canyon the scale of the landscape really struck me. I could really only make out the wake of the boat in the water below. Wow. I see Carol is doing more filming. She composes her shots very well. (I noticed she also likes to take shots of Chris's flowing hair in the wind on the boat. ;) So happy you've both stayed healthy and happy together. I have to admit I was a bit nervous for you being cramped in a van with so many people. (I think I noticed one guy without a face mask.)

The southernmost state in Mexico and west of Acapulco, Chiapas is renowned for its archaeological sites, folkloric traditions and secluded, pristine beaches. The Pacific coast of Chiapas is largely undeveloped, making it a perfect getaway for beach lovers, nature enthusiasts and fresh seafood aficionados.

Another great video you two and props for maintaining these videos during a difficult time to travel. My question is that drone shot at the beginning of the video above looking down while the boat is moving, were you manning the drone while the boat was racing along? Is it hard landing a drone on a boat? Anyways keep up the great work and really enjoy your travels. Take care.
@JumpingPlaces3 жыл бұрын
Haha no I wouldn't try that unless the boat would stop for me. I got that shot at the start from the view point of a boat and then just put it in a scene during our boat trip :D
