Discovering Morelia, Mexico and Exploring a "Do Not Travel" State

I've been living in Morelia, as a US citizen, for three years. I've never been victimized by ANY crime, have never been assaulted, or robbed. I've never been approached by a drug dealer. I have never been charged "gringo prices." We live happy and healthy, in an incredibly beautiful city. I'm a lot safer here, than I would be in Chicago or NYC! Don't believe everything said by the US media... (Also, hit the street Taco stands, they usually have BETTER food!)

Thank you for the video! I am travelling to Patzcuaro and Morelia soon, did you happen to notice if the restaurants are dog friendly? I’m travelling with my little dog?

Thank you! Oh that will be nice! A great road trip. I really didn't notice when we were at the restaurants. I believe we only ate at one indoor restaurant and the rest had outside seating. And especially in that area, you will have a lot of options for outdoor spots to sit and eat so I wouldn't think it would be that much of an issue. Hope you have fun and have a great trip!
