My son is autistic too, and he's in training now to make pastries. Its never easy for parents, we strive our way through. Your son has grown up well, and can draw excellently. Will be happy to see his artwork.

I have 3 Autistic children- all on different degrees of the spectrum. Your son is articulate and independent- one of mine is non verbal and still not really able to read or write at 17. Simeon is beautiful - a lot of Asian parents feel like failures because their child is not prefect like other kids around them. By the way Autism tends to get pass down from the father!

It's too early, sometimes at 5 years old they can become normal or getting much milder. The more accurate assessment should be around 7 years old. Don't give up or be sad, it's way too early.
