How is climbing those mountains and spending nights in those caves before it became popular we climb that mountain just about every other weekend when it was wild and Free we went over on horseback set up camp and climb to the top using ropes and climbing gear I grew up there and I absolutely love it you're absolutely wonderful I hope and pray they don't mess it up anymore than what it already is. Those mountains are absolutely wonderful and it has given me a memory that is absolutely wonderful and I will never forget I absolutely love El Paso

These mountains are beautiful, it’s one of our favorite Texas State Parks. Wished we spent more days in El Paso to explore some other trails. We look forward in returning to see the other side of the mountain.

It’s a nice park and can you believe it has over 52 trails? We were supposed to do two days here, but it had a dust and visibility was limited. Thanks for stopping by David! I always appreciate you watching and commenting.

Hiking the Franklin, Davis, and Guadalupe Mountains are on my bucket list - but it's quite a trek to get there from Central TX.
@MrSTravelQuest3 жыл бұрын
Guadalupe Mountain is in my bucket list too! Yes El Paso is far and planned this trip for spring break. We visited Franklin Mountains and Hueco Tanks. Both parks are amazing! Which parks do you like going to in Central Texas?

@@MrSTravelQuest Mother Neff is close to home and beautiful. I also enjoy heading up to Dino Valley and down to McKinney and Guadalupe River St Park. Dino has been my favorite hike around here so far, but the kids preferred the trails at Guadalupe River because there was less incline :D
@MrSTravelQuest3 жыл бұрын
@@MrDmonies327 Mother Neff a beautiful park and definitely underrated. My son loved Dinosaurs Valley SP. We spent all day checking the tracks and swimming. We didn’t do much hiking 🤦♂️. Guadalupe River beautiful, they just opened up the discovery center too. The Bauer Unit side nice as well. I’m looking to visit Government Canyons soon, I want to see more of the parks that’s near San Antonio.

The Cave hike was probably my favorite except for that loose rock area near the top. I'm digging the campsites. Gorgeous views from some. 👍💪 Nicely done.

Those loose rocks were no joke. Us and few others folks tripped coming down. We loved exploring the cave and tin mine. Can you believe this park has over 52 trails!

It’s a haul to get down to El Paso from Dallas. We had considered checking this one out if we do Arizona. This one will probably be on our bucket list for a while. Looks cool, very spacious. That mine looked neat.
@MrSTravelQuest3 жыл бұрын
It was a 7 hour drive for us. We decided to visit Franklin Mountains and Hueco Tanks since it’s in the same area. Franklin Mountains is a huge park and couldn’t believe how many trails it had. When we go back I’m bring a real flashlight to explore deeper into the mines.

Aw, I love this video! My parents used to live in El Paso and I've been to Franklin Mountains State Park. We did the Aztec Cave trail. I did not know about the tin mines, those look so neat!
@MrSTravelQuest3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much 😊. The Aztec trail was neat. You could do the tin mines from the Tom Mays Unit, but it was 9 miles over the mountain. We drove around to a different entrance for the 6.6 miles tin mine trails. The mine pretty cool and you get some nice views of El Paso.
