When you're supposed to be working but too distracted watching Mike trap his pinky - Pardon! Bit of grease now and jobsagoodin. Handy that you had the D1 part kicking around as the newness had definitely faded on the original one.

I remember on the D1, the window frame distorts, went through 3 regulators before I worked it out

Done both of my front door. Very common problem. There is a guy on KZbin who welds a uk 10p piece in place of the roller and lubes it well.

Yes, in the D1 days aI used to find the right sized washers in the shop and weld the pin back in

Hi you can use a nylon bread board and cut I square to fit the guide slot and drill a hole in it and use a nut and bolt after drilling out the rivet on the arm as a repair..have done it a few times now…that’s provided you don’t have a spare disco 1 door just lying around…lol..😀

Try assembly lube to grease those bits. It adheres well and is thicker than regular lubricating oil

Plastic brakes down overt time , it is a huge problem for modern classics. Even you replace the plastics , it is still 20 years and not all plastic is petroleum tolerant.

Yeap - only came in because nobody wanted to change the starter motor. Now a myriad of other 'issues'
