Very clear, both verbally and visually. Thanks for the helpful video. I'll be doing both sides this week with more confidence.

I know this is an older upload, but I appreciate it a lot. This will come in handy changing hubs on my Range Rover. thank you for your time buddy!

Thank you! Good luck, the P38 and D2 share the hubs so it should be a very similar job😊

Great video and very well explained! You make me more and more keen to buy one of the Disco 2's I made a testdrive in the last weeks :-D And a compliment to the cameraman sometimes a little trouble with the autofocus but the closeup filming was excellent so you could see everything what is important for this job. Regards, Daniel

Thank you!!! Yeah I was really happy my girlfriend could film the first half, so much better than with a tripod in the second half... Oh nice, you will find one soon😎

You don't have to undo caliper from carrier. You may just undo carrier with caliper together. Did last week)

Great video, thanks! About to tackle this along with ball joints as I didn't pass inspection here in the U.S. Need to buy a 32mm impact socket and a torque wrench that goes to 500!
@Td5Adventures2 жыл бұрын
Oh god luck! There are hardware stores here in Sweden where you can rent certain tools, maybe you can rent a wrench or just calculate the length of your bar and your weight to get a torque spec😉

Can you use a wheel hub for a Discovery 2 on a P38?
@Td5Adventures2 жыл бұрын
Yes, from what I know the hubs are interchangeable!

You don't need to take the abs sensor off, just leave it alone, especially as the new hubs all have them attached
@fraggle233 жыл бұрын
But good vid generally
@fraggle233 жыл бұрын
And any time you change a hub you should take the opportunity to change the axle seal
@Td5Adventures3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for my slow reply... Yeah I should have bought an axle seal! The abs sensor does not need to come off, you're right. But in this case only the sensor was bad.

How do I replace the wheel bearing if I don't want to replace the hub?
@Td5Adventures Жыл бұрын
You can't! It's a single unit all together.
@samuelbhagothiparsad38823 жыл бұрын
Its a wheel bearing hub. You did not replace the wheel bearing. You replaced the complete wheelbearing hub assembly. I say this cos I was told my wheel bearings were shot. walked into autozone, they ordered and sold me 4xwheelbearings and only found after stripping that I needed the complete hub assembly.
@Td5Adventures3 жыл бұрын
The only way to replace the wheel bearing on these is to replace the whole hub. Your hub doesn't go bad, the bearing inside it does.
