Thanks for the video Sam. I have lr3 08 petrol. Only when topping off gas tank, we will get gas to leak out on the ground in front of the wheel. from looking around the internet, i suspect there is at the top of the fuel filter.

Showing what you done to get the fuel pump out of the tank was in my opinion the most important part of this job. However, you just skipped that part.

At 5.22 into the video you can see on the white section there is a spout for another pipe, this pipe along with another attached to the underneath of the yellow tank cap need to be removed whilst everything is still in the tank, then pull the green clip off the pump housing, pull the white part out first then the pump will follow.

I have oil leaking from that area. The filter was changed and it was dry there. What could it be? Also a pump?

The rear grey connector I was finding difficult to get off. I found easier removing the spare wheel and getting to it that way

@fixitsam do you have a part number for the new pump? Just took mine out to find the pump is working but the filter totally blocked up.. can't find the filter on it's own so mite just replace the pump with the one you have... I had bought a new assembly for 340e.. but it's actually slightly different so won't work.. so 60e for a new pump is alright... Thanks for the vid btw

I have found a loose convoluted pipe inside the tank. I don't know if it's supposed to be free or connected to something. Any ideas?

I have a 2007 discovery 3. She is in lump model on could. When warming up at 2000 rpm she cut off. Then not start anymore. I guess is tank fuel pump. What do you thinking about that?

Sam, I’ve a 2008 Disco 3 and have the same P0087 code. Did this cure your fault? Where did you source the pump. Sorry I know it’s 4 years later!!

Great video I’ve got mine to do as the pump is just starting to scream (only just today)so I think the strainer mesh might be blocked so I’m going to take the pump out and hopefully clean the mesh and save the pump before it blocks up altogether and burns the pump out fingers crossed 🤞

The replacement pump just came from my local auto factors. It lasted 2 years then had to replace it again. If doing it again I think I would replace with a genuine pump...

@@FixitSam Searching the internet I found the same manufacturer as the original pump: "WALBRO" So I ordered the same brand. But as I drive on ethanol, the seller recommended a suitable pump: Walbro Motorsport GST450K E85. Thank you for your answer.

I've used your video 3 times now. I'm on pump change number 4 in same car. Have you any idea what would cause these pumps to keep failing. Gause at bottom was sort of clean each time and tank has been cleaned out. And fuel filter changed each time

You need to buy original fuel pump. They have different pump for your car. Rover sport 4.4 liters is the most expensive one. .
