The Chrampanis farm was located at 2175 Richmond Avenue on Staten Island. its now a Jewish Center. Looks like a housing develop is now over the farm fields.

Born '65 grew up rural in the Northeast. Many of the childhood woods and fields are condos light industrial and shopping centers now.

At 21:10 is my cousin Peter Kruse. He retired from the Advance. They took him up to the torch in the Statue of Liberty as a reward for being on.

What did Peter pick as his career? I feel this story isn't complete, not knowing what Peter choose for his career! Were the other two boys his friends? Did Peter keep in touch with them as an adult? Did you send Peter the link to this video? Would be kinda fun is Peter, & the other two boys (now grown up) took a ride on the Ferry & posted the video on YT. (if that still possible).

I wonder what Peter is doing today? Is he still into animals, or did he go in another direction? This was an excellent video! I have thought, through the decades (I'm 77), that history is best taught by sharing personal stories. People would get much more caught up in it if they could visualize it through the eyes of the people who lived it. I think this video points to the accuracy of my thoughts...I'll be wondering about Peter all day now.
