someone needs to make PawPaw brandy almost like a Ugandan Banana spirit, it's more sugary than a banana i think and the flavor is in between that and a mango, and obviously its a native american fruit so that's a plus
@maskcollector6949
@maskcollector6949 2 жыл бұрын
@@highviewbarbell I live in Missouri, the state fruit is the Paw Paw. I hope to find one this year and take some cuttings so that I can preserve it - they are increasingly hard to find. I'm sure there's Paw Paw wine from here somewhere because it was listed whenever they made it our state fruit. Missouri is famous for dessert wines, they're a lot better than California's (lived both places). I'm fairly certain it's only made in private stocks, because they're almost always found in the wild. Not many places cultivate them I don't think. The Paw Paw festival in Ohio is probably your best bet for a Paw Paw beer or something aside from finding/ordering some and making your own. Paw Paw's kept Louis and Clark alive through the winter when they were almost out of food in Missouri. It's said you can replace paw paw 1:1 for banana and it's called the Missouri banana, but I think most of them are gone already because I've never seen one in person yet - that or they're hiding in plain sight. There's a variety of flavors and varieties based on ripeness (I still studied cause I've been interested in cultivating native plants here).

Sounds so good. I think since I’m from Louisiana they should make chocolate spicy McElhinney Tabasco sauce. In honor of Avery island and call it tite baton rouge after the red stick they used to test the ripeness of peppers. That make a candy out of it and I think a liqueur with a kick to it and that chocolate would be so good. They use dark chocolate and they have a dark chocolate and spicy chocolate flavor and the kick comes later. After you eat it. I think if you blended it right that would make a smooth liqueur, we make soups and we add just a “splash” of Tabasco to this creamy soup with crawfish or crab in it and it’s so good, you say C’est ca bon!
