I was active duty Coast Guard and unfortunately we had a boat this size we did a drug bust one and we had them out for over 12 days finding the stuff lol

As a fisherman of 35yrs. It's nice to know they are there to save us. Never had to call them .but please respect our saviors I'm a sailor now. But I follow all the rules And I'm happy

Them doing boarding like that is no different than a trooper inspecting a suspicious vehicle on the road . Ships are way more dangerous they check everything like that to see damage or what not that the crew has missed or are arising.its also to make sure you have the best chance at success and not intrusive or invasive they don’t go though crew gear bags or locked lockers unless they have a reason
